"I'm done with your fake stories (Y/N) You're making everyone in Japan paranoid!" My boss yelled at me. "B-But Togami! I've seen this happen. Genocide has been going around. Every nook and cranny off the place, if you went outside for 5 seconds instead of being obsessed with money you would see!" I yelled back. "Are you calling me stupid and greedy?" He asks me. "If I'm being honest yes. I've been putting the honest truth out there. And if you don't believe me then I fucking quit!" I say throwing my hat down and leaving my former boss's office.

"(Y-Y/n)-San!" I hear a voice stutter behind me. I turned around and smiled. "Hey Toko! What's up?" I ask. "A-Are you really quitting?" She asks me. "I heard your argument with the boss in the office." "Well if he's not going to believe my stories, then what's the point of working here? But yep it's time to get the hell out of this place. I'm sorry Toko, but we'll keep in touch." I say as I walk out of the building.

Toko's pov
I gave a sinister grin after (y/n) left. I mean she's a sweetheart and all but she's really getting in the way.  I gave a slight chuckle and I headed to the break room. Seeing no one was in there I dialed a number.

Junko: Hello?
Toko: She's gone Junko
Junko: it's about time. She was really getting in the way. Her and those brats who call themselves detectives.
Toko: What should I do now?
Junko: keep covering up our mischeif in the newspaper business. Leave the rest to me.
Toko: Of course.
-the call has ended.-

(Y/n) pov
I sigh as I walk down the street. 'Byuakuya togami is a hardass prick who values his money and won't believe a single thing from me if he doesn't see it from himself.' I thought as I stopped in my tracks. "Now I have to do is figure out how I'm going to pay my rent." I say aloud. "Well it's another month til I have to worry about it." I Then continued walking to my small apartment.

I walk inside of my apartment and I threw my bag to the coatrack it successfully got onto the hook. I groaned and fell on the couch. "And I thought my writing career would go somewhere if I was a newspaper writer." I muttered. I sat up and grabbed the controller then turned on the tv.

"Hello this is Gundham Tanaka with your daily news! It's been peaceful like it has been for the past few months, well besides the robberies."

'There's more than that happening. I can't be the only one who's been seeing the strange activity out here!' I thought. I sighed and turned off the tv realizing it's gonna be useless if I argue with the news company or the tv itself.

Suddenly my stomach growled signaling I was hungry. I groaned and stood up, then walked to the kitchen. There was nothing in the fridge or the cupboards.

"Thank god I have enough money to eat out. Since I have nothing but condiments in my fridge I guess I'll have to eat out." I say aloud to myself knowing it's useless. I sighed and grabbed my coat then headed to the cafe down the block.

~~~at the cafe~~~~~~
When I walked in I heard an immediate flash. It was weird, I decided to shake it off. I pulled my hood down and shook the rest of the remaining snow out of my (h/l) hair. 'It just had to snow when I was out.' I thought.
I headed to a booth and sat down, another flash was heard. 'Where is that coming from?' I thought once again while looking around the place. 'I'm probably becoming paranoid.' I thought trying to convince myself that I'm not crazy.
"Miss? Miss?" A voice called and I snapped out of my trance. "Oh yeah I'm sorry." I chuckle slightly. "It's alright. What would you like to order?" He asked me.
"Yeah uh, (f/f) with (f/d) is fine." I smile. He nodded and wrote it down on a piece of paper and left. A flash interrupted me again. 'This is getting annoying.' I sigh.
My food and drink came and I dug in my food, that same flash interrupted me. 'Now I'm getting a feeling that I'm being stalked.' I tried to ignore it and continue eating. The rest of my meal time was in peace no flashing noise, no inturruptions it was peaceful.
Once I was satisfied and full I left my pay on the table and left the café.
On my way home I heard a scream from the alleyway. 'That must be a robbery.' I thought sarcastically. I sighed and ran to the alleyway where the scream came from.
A girl with long black hair was pointing a katana at a girl's throat. The Victim saw me and gave me a pleading look and begging me for help with her eyes. The black haired suspect saw the girl's actions and took notice of this and looked towards me.
"What're you doing here? What do you want?" The black haired masked girl asked me. Before I can answer she pointed her katana at me. "Get out or pay the consequences." She says. The victim whimpered. I couldn't leave someone behind to die like this. I already lost my job because my boss didn't believe me. And I'm not gonna run from what's actually true, so I did something that no one else would have the balls to do.
"No." I say firmly. "What did you say?" The masked girl asked. "No I won't leave." I say once again. The masked girl push the victim behind her then charged at me with their katana.
"Look out!" Another female voice was heard. That same flash was heard from when I was in the café. The masked girl fell backwards covering her eyes from the flash. The victim was able to escape quickly, before I was able to leave. My wrist was grabbed and dragged away from the masked girl.
"Hey You've gotta be careful out here. The dispairants will be after everyone and will do anything to make their life miserable." The girl said.
"Who exactly are you?" I ask.
"I'm Mahiru, Mahiru Koizumi. Nice to meet you. (Y/n) (L/n)!"
