My heart breaks
As the tears run down my face
And the years that you take
Off of my life with every space
The smiles I show
And the laughs I give
Is so that you don't know
That I don't want to live
I hate myself
With every fiber of my being
But I put it on the top shelf
So that you don't end up seeing
When the medal makes contact
And the red liquid pools
I don't make an impact
because you see me as a fool
I will admit as it so seems
That I have problems
With my own self esteem
But don't worry, I'm broken at the stem
So here we go again
