Uh Oh

Wally's POV

"On your left-no right! Uggghhh. I totally just got you killed right there." I say, watching Raven's character being killed on the screen. She giggles, "how is this training?" She asks with a knowing twinkle in her eyes. I blush, "it teaches you hand-eye coordinate?.. Yea, it teaches you that!" I finish with a smile. She laughs some more, 'I wanna hear that laugh for the rest of my life,' I thought. She stops laughing and lowers her head, blushing. I blush too, forgetting about our connection with each other. "Umm-" "Wally! Rachel! Come on down for dinner!" Aunt Iris yells, cutting me off. I run off, trying to get away from the awkward conversation.

It's been awhile since the whole Halloween fiasco. Me and Raven haven't actually caught a bad guy. Does that even make us heroes? During dinner me and Raven were having a silent conversation. We were talking about her 9th birthday! 'I'm telling Aunt Iris and Uncle Barry,' I stated
'No, you're not.' She said, glaring holes into my head.
'Come on~' I begged
"Ugh," She groaned out loud, that's when I knew I won.
"Hey, Aunt Iris, Uncle Barry!" I yelled, "in a couple more weeks its going to be Rachel's 9th birthday. We have to throw her a party."
"Isn't her parents throwing her one?" Aunt Iris asked
"Umm..-" "They don't celebrate birthdays or any other holiday," Raven said, saving my sorry butt.
"I think we could do it, right Iris?" Said Uncle Barry.
"Sure," Iris said giving me a knowing smile when she caught me staring at Raven.

After awhile Uncle Barry had to leave for work. 'Uncle Barry acts weird sometimes, maybe I should.. No, I can trust him. He tells me everything, I shouldn't snoop,' I thought. Later on Raven left leaving me with Aunt Iris. I was scared. The look in her eyes scream she knows something and she's gonna get answers. This is the downfall of having a reporter as an aunt. "So Wally-" "Sorry Aunt Iris I have things to do, se-" "Not so fast," She says, grabbing me and bringing me to the couch.
"So Wally-" "You're not getting anything out of me," I yet again interrupted, with a stubborn glare. She smirked
"How are you and Rachel?" She asked, I gave her a confused look, "we're good..?"
"Anything going on?.." She asked with a teasing voice
"Wha-ew! Ew no! Aunt Iris! I'm 9!" I screamed with a blush on my face.
She chuckled, "Wally I see the way you look at her, plus you two just click,"
"No, Aunt Iris. Just, no. She's my best friend and only my best friend," I finished 'but do I want something more?' I hurried up and dismissed those thoughts before Raven caught them. Right before Aunt Iris started talking again I heard a scream. I sat up straighter making her stop. I finally realized it was in my head. It was Raven!

'Raven are you ok!?' I screamed in my head. I jumped up running to my room. I headed straight towards my computer, hacking into the city cameras. I hear Aunt Iris scream my name, but I ignore her. There,on the cameras I saw Raven fending off not only captain cold, but heatwave too! 'Raven!' I yelled, 'behind you! Forcefield!' Raven threw up a forcefield behind her, done having changed into her costume, which was an upgraded version of her Halloween costume. 'Raven, I'm going to hack into the cold gun. You handle heatwave.' I commanded
'Ok,' she thought, turning from captain cold and focusing on heatwave. I got to work, cold smirks and goes to aim at Raven. He pulls the trigger, but nothing happens. All of a sudden his gun starts making a whirring sound. Then it explodes, and ice shards blast him back, cutting him along the way. I smirk, "cool," I whisper. He looks up and sees Raven approaching, heatwave done knocked out cold (pun intended). Raven walks up to him, eyes and hands glowing. She raises her hands and he raises his, but later finds handcuffs on him. He looks up and sees the police there with a confused expression, and Raven nowhere to be seen.

Raven appears in my room and collapses in exhaustion. I catch her and lay her on my bed, "you did awesome today Rae Rae." I praise
"Don't call me Rae Rae," She whispers before falling asleep. I crawl in behind her and fall asleep, holding her in my arms.

*Time Skip*

Many days later it was Ravens birthday. We were all in the living room, Barry even convinced Bruce to bring Dick. And Oliver brought his new protege Roy. It was all going good till Raven collapsed on the ground, breathing heavily. We all surrounded her, me holding her in my arms. We were just looking at each other, having a silent conversation. I lay her down and walk off. A look of pure fury on my face. Everyone was watching me, but I didn't care. I disappeared around the corner. "Leave her alone," I growl to no one in particular
A chuckle was heard, before a figure stepped out, "7 more years. This always happens on her birthday. The prophecy is getting closer. Stronger."
"If you touch her," I yelled
"Till midnight," He said
"What?" I asked, completely off guard.
"I want your answer by midnight. Whether you're joining me or not. If not, then I'll take the girl sooner than later." He finishes
A look of shock crosses my face, "tick tock Wallace," He says before disappearing. I look around the corner and see Raven getting up, completely ok. Our eyes meet, but a look of shock crosses her face when she can't read my mind. I sigh and walk back towards her, enveloping her in the tightest hug.
"What happened?" She whispered, since she can no longer talk into my mind
"Nothing," I say.

A couple hours later and I find myself in my room back at home. Mom and dad are out. 'Today was a good day. I'mma miss all my friends. Old and new.' With that thought I sat there thinking of everyone, Aunt Iris, Uncle Barry, Oliver, Bruce, Dinah, Roy, Dick.. Raven. I laid there crying, having done decided what I'm going to do. At 11:30 I leave the house walking towards mine and Ravens spot. By the time I reach there I freeze, seeing Raven sitting there. "I can feel your presence, come out," She says. I walk out and sit beside her, "what's going on Wally?" She all but whispers
"Everything," I said back. "I'm going away.."
"What!? Where!?" She asks/yells. I look up with tears in my eyes. That's when I notice the figure behind her. I take a deep breath and stand up. She looks over and gasps, "Wally no! You didn't!" She screams tears threatening to spill.
"I'll do anything to protect you," I whisper, pulling her close, kissing her forehead. A couple of tears slip and I slowly let go. She screams falling to the ground sobbing. I slowly walk towards Slade. I can just feel his smirk. I turn around, "don't stop being a hero," I say with a watery smile. I make it to him and he puts his hand on my shoulder. I refuse to flinch, "good choice," he says. I hear a scream behind me, I look over and see Raven's hands and eyes glowing. The thing is, she has four beady red eyes. I gasp, and she blasts at us, more specifically Slade. It goes over me, right towards him. But it parts, like an invisible force is protecting him. She stops and takes off running towards us. Slade throws a smoke bomb down and pulls me back. Raven jumps through, but no one is there. She screams and cries in the night.
