Everything Changes

Wally's POV

It's been a full year since I found out about Raven's past. A full year since I told her about my parents. She's been trying to convince me to leave, live with her, or tell Uncle Barry. But I shoot her down each time. She's even tried to tell Aunt Iris a couple of times. Nothings really changed other than the fact that I've grown more protective of her. What can I say though? Slades been appearing almost everywhere now. In places regular people wouldn't look. I'm starting to think I should tell Raven. I was knocked out of my thoughts, quite literally. I ran into someone's leg, when I looked up I gasped in shock and fear.

"Hello Wallace," The smooth voice of Slade said. "What do you want?" I questioned, hoping my voice didn't shake. "Do you have an answer?" He asked. I played dumb at first, "what answer?" He growled, gripping my shoulder, "I know you remember. What's it gonna be Wallace? Will you join me?" Many people were giving us weird looks, but we didn't notice. What I did notice was the tiny voice in my head, it suspiciously sounded like Raven. I noticed it getting louder and louder, drowning out almost everyone. 'GET AWAY FROM HIM!' I look up and turn around seeing Raven running toward us. She reached us and gripped my arm, pulling us away. I turned around and saw Slade watching us, with a very noticeable smirk.

We continued walking until we reached her house. All the way there she either mumbled to herself or just stared ahead thinking. But the thing was I could HEAR her thoughts. She didn't seem to notice, but when we got inside she turned to me fuming. "Why were you with him!? Don't you know who he is!?" "Yes," I responded evenly. "Then why were you with him!? Did he hurt you!?" I instantly tuned her out, but focused more on her thoughts. 'What do I do? He's found me. But he's seems more focus on Wally. Why? What if it's a way to get to me? Did he hurt him? I'll kill him if he touched one gorgeous red hair in his head!' I tuned out of her thoughts blushing. "What are you blushing at this is serious!?!" She questioned. I decided to test something out, I looked directly into her eyes while walking closer. She started to blush, 'I think you have gorgeous hair too.' I thought smirking.

Her eyes grew wide with shock and a bit of fear. I knew right then and there she heard me. "How?" Was all she could say. "I honestly don't know." I replied. She got this far away look, almost like she was reliving a memory. "Raven?" I asked, she snapped back into reality, "I think I know how." I just stared, urging her to go on. "When you went into my mind," She started, "I think I accidentally connected our minds.." "Can't you unconnect them or something?" I asked. She stared, thinking for a couple of seconds, ".. I could try," She hesitantly said. I nodded my head and she grabbed my hands. "Close your eyes," She said. I did as I was told, waiting for something to happen.

Pain was all I felt. I screamed out in pain with Raven not to far behind me. We both dropped to the floor, but Raven was still trying. "Sto-op!" I choked out, "STOP!" Her eyes snapped open and she let go of my hands, they instantly went up to my head with tears running down my face. "I'm sorry," She said with her own tears running down her face. I looked up and noticed her in the fatal position, mumbling how she's sorry. I noticed things were floating and breaking, she's losing control. I hurry up and crawl towards her, pulling her in a hug. "It's ok. It's ok Raven," I whispered, "hey, look at me." I grabbed her face, tilting it up to look into my eyes. "It's ok Raven. You didn't know that would happen. It wasn't your fault. I'm the one who asked you to do it. It's ok." I brought her close once more, kissing her forehead. We both just sat there hugging one another.

Slade's POV

I sat outside watching Wallace and Raven. I chuckled to myself, "those two seem to be getting closer. Maybe to close." I narrowed my eyes at the bruise along Wallace's arm, holding in a sigh. "Maybe I should just kill his parents. Then he'd definitely come to me... No, the plan is going accordingly. I must be patient. Soon I'll have my apprentice and portal." I slipped into the night without a sound.

Raven's POV

I wake up in the middle of the night in my bed. I look around for Wally, but he's nowhere in sight. 'Maybe he went home?' I instantly dismissed the thought, 'Wally would never go back there.' I decided to go searching for him. My feet touched the cold ground and I suppressed a shiver. I walked into the hallway and gasped at the stench of blood. I keep going, following the smell to the living room. I stepped through the hallway and stopped dead in my tracks. I couldn't breathe, couldn't move, couldn't feel. I thought I heard someone screaming, it takes awhile for me to realize I'm the one screaming. In the living room is Wally's dead corpse on the ground staring straight out at me.

I run towards him and dropped to the floor, crying. I'm begging, pleading, praying this ain't real. That it's not true! Someone grabs me from behind, I quickly look and see one eye. That one eye that stares into my soul. "Hello Raven." The cool voice of Slade says. I continue crying, not caring if he sees. He continues, "you could have avoided this if you had just came with me." Slade soon changes and my father takes his place, "Look at you! You're such a disgrace! Thinking you could be normal! Trying to make friends!? He never cared for you! He's scared of you!" He screams. I shake my head no, covering my ears, "no," I whimper. "He was scared that you would hurt him if he tried to leave! That you would kill him! You're a demon! Why would anyone be friends with a demon!" I continue shaking my head, "No! No! NO! You're wrong! He does care! He is my friend!" "Raven?" I look up and see my mother standing there. "Mother!" I screamed, running and embracing her. I cry into her, wishing for some comfort.

"Why did you let me die? " She questioned. I looked up at her shocked, letting go in the process. "You could have saved us, but you were selfish and only saved yourself! This is all your fault! If you weren't born this would have never have happened!" She screamed, reaching over and slapping me. I fall to the floor crying, I look up but she was gone. I hug myself crying for what seemed like forever. "R-ra'n.. R-rav'n. Raven..?" I gasp, looking up to Wally. There he was gasping and wheezing, staring right back into my eyes. I run over, grabbing his hand. "Wally!? You're alive! You're going to be ok. You'r-," "Why did you do it.?" I look at him in confusion, "what do you mean?" "Why did you kill me?" He questioned. I look at him in shock and confusion. "What are you talking about!?" I screamed tears in my eyes, "I didn't-," "Yes you did." He interrupted, "I hate you. I never liked you." My heart stopped, "what?" I stated just above a whisper. I look back down at him and notice he's no longer breathing his eyes dull. "Wally?" I questioned, shaking him, "Wally!!! Come on! Wake up! Please! I don't care if you hate me, just wake up! WALLY!"

I wake up with a jolt, Wally in front of me holding my arms. I gasp, catching my breath, launching myself at Wally. He catches me in surprise, but hugs back once he notices me crying. "What happened?" He asked, I shake my head not trusting myself to talk just yet. We sit there, him holding me while I cry. After awhile he asks, "do you want to talk about it?" I shake my head, "no, I... Can we just go back to sleep..? Just hold me for a bit longer." He nods his head, pulling us down and me on top of his chest. He kisses me on the forehead, "anything for you princess. I'll always be here for you. I'm never leaving you." I choke out a sob, "promise?" "I promise." He responds. With that I fell back asleep, but what I didn't know was that Wally stayed up the rest of the night watching me.
