*Wally's POV*
We stared at each other for a bit, neither one of us breaking eye contact. The "park" felt stuffy, like their wasn't enough air.
"Raven," I choked out once more, feeling tears in my eyes.
She takes a step towards me hesitantly, but that was all I needed.
I ran towards her before she could even blink. Wrapping her up in my arms and picking her up in the process.
I buried my face in her neck, breathing in her scent, and never wanting to let go.
I slowly set her down, but not letting go, not pulling away just yet.The moment we did it was slow and a bit reluctant.
There was an inch of space between us, so close that I could feel her breath against my face.
I closed my eyes, taking it all in.
'Since when was the last time we had a chance to just be us like this?' I thought sadly.
I open my eyes to see her big, beautiful violet eyes staring right back at me.
A small smile took over my face, before I allowed myself to lean in.
We were mere centimeters apart, never taking our eyes off each other.
With one last breath I went to close the gap between us--I heard a big thunk coming from behind us, then glass shattering.
I twirled around getting in a defensive position before stopping. The only thing I could do was stare.
There was a 5 year old me on his face and a frightened Raven clutching a book.
"Umm... What?" I questioned, looking back at Raven who had a hand over her mouth trying not to laugh.
I stared for a bit relishing in the emotions she showed.
Her doppleganger hardley shows any if none at all. But me and Beast Boy was slowly getting her out of that.
I wondered if my Raven would've been like that if we never had met.I turn back to the scene, watching our first actual conversation.
"Was that you?" Younger me asked, pointing at the light.
"What!? N-no, it wasn't!" Me and Raven both watched the interaction. It may have happened years ago but it feels like just yesterday.
'She's still cute when she blushes.' I thought, hearing it echo around in Raven's head.
I glance over and notice My Raven blushing, I chuckle slightly.I turn back to watch the rest of the memory.
"What were you doing in a tree? Especially this late?" She asked.
"Why are you out this late?" Younger me questioned back.
"You can't do that! I asked first!"
"I just did!" He shouted back, sticking his tongue out at her.
She slowly starts to giggle, me and Raven joining in this time.
'These were the good days.'
Younger me looks down at her book, discarded on the ground. He points at the cover, "you like Harry Potter too!" He shouted in glee, "can I read it with you?"
I chuckled at my Harry Potter obsession, before I was introduced to the world of science.
Rachel flushes a few shades red and stutters out a sure.
"By the way, I'm Wally." He introduced himself sticking his hand out.
She takes his hand in a shake and says, "Rachel."
'My first friend,' he thought smiling like an idiot.I hear it echo around Raven's head. I snap my head towards her and give her a confused and perplexed look.
"Our minds are connected now. I can hear old and new thoughts."
I blush a bit, thinking about all the times my teenage hormones took over.
I rub the back of my neck, "sorry."
We both turn back to the scene, noticing it over and fading away.
The image of me and Rachel asleep under the tree, the book falling over and losing our place.Once it was over I turned to her, "what was that?"
"That was one of our memories," she said simply.
"But why?" I questioned back, more confused then ever.
"Why not?" She shot back with a glare, a glare that read "don't question it."
I raised my hands up in surrender, quickly going over towards our tree. I noticed our carved initials slowly appearing.
I trace it before looking back at her. "Are we watching our memories?"
She hesitates before walking over and sitting down, me following suit.
