Third POV:

The sudden fright that showered Clara spread throughout her body, making her paralyzed with fear. So many emotions were running through her body; fright, terror, shock.

But how-why-

Clara could not simply move for she was not able to comprehend what was happening.

There it was in front of her; a shadow on Neverland's ground. But how? No one was reflecting it. It was just in existence. And the odd part was that it still existed even though sun rays were all over it.

It looked nothing like Pan's shadow. It did look like a human, but ten times bigger. As if it was a reflection of a true-living giant. But that did not last long for the shadow began suddenly changing shapes. In a second it transformed from a human to an animal, later on changing into an odd creature till it eventually settled onto the shape of nothing; just a dark silhouette with glowing white eyes.

The shadow began suddenly flying upwards as if it were coming out of the ground. And in that time it began getting bigger and bigger, expanding like slime. That was more than enough to activate Clara's extinct. It was then she took off running while the shadow flew after her at a fast speed.

Clara did not care that she could hit a tree in a second or trip over a branch on the ground, her only intention in that moment was running away from the shadow behind her.

Come on. Come on. Come on.

She was running as fast as she could, hoping her speed would be enough to keep her alive. Her legs burned with ache as her thighs got sorer by the second. Her chest felt like it was burning inside out for she was desperate to stop in her tracks and take in a deep breath. But that wasn't something Clara was going to do. Her aim was to run away from the shadow and the fact that it did not catch her yet was enough proof that she was doing what's saving her life.

To her horrible luck that did not last long for Clara suddenly tripped on a branch, causing her to fall on her face in the middle of the woods. Unfortunately, tripping caused Clara to dislocate her calf, causing utter pain to shower through her body.

She quickly sat steadily on her bottom as she looked straight ahead to look at the shadow. But to her luck, the shadow was no longer there. Clara quickly gulped in her heavy breaths as she looked around as if the shadow was hiding, but she couldn't help but find herself all alone in the woods.

Did I imagine that?

While looking around for the shadow, Clara managed to examine the completely odd woods she was in. the trees were orange with a red ombre. The grass was multicolored as if someone splashed a rainbow onto the ground. And the smell that filled the woods was a fresh scent of jasmine. If Clara did not know any better, she would think she was no longer in Neverland.

She has been in this land long enough to know for a fact that Neverland does not have such woods, so where was she?

I have to leave this place she thought as she hoped she wasn't trespassing some area she shouldn't be in. Clara quickly tried moving her legs in order to stand but at the slight movement she caused, the sound of cracking bones filled the area.

Clara quickly released a loud yell for the pain she suddenly felt was unbearable. Her dislocated leg was by now fully broken, her bone basically cut in half.
