I created an even bigger electrifying ball of light, but my counterpart had recovered from the shock and was able to dodge my balls easily. Not only that, but she was also able to divert the energy balls in my direction. I had to duck quickly to avoid being hit in the face.

Only then did I realize that she had telekinetic powers as if it wasn't enough fighting against the demon who looked exactly like you. The dark pits of Hell became very light and loud as we kept trying to hit each other.

She couldn't create the balls of light, but she could manipulate mine, and she also used nearby rocks to try to hit me. She used anything she could find.

The air seemed to be buzzing as we continued trying to kill each other. I felt less confident than before because although I had all the power she managed to use it against me. Then I got an idea.

It was an unorthodox idea that wouldn't have occurred to me if I weren't so desperate, because of that I was pretty sure that she wouldn't be able to figure it out. One part of my mind was throwing small balls at her while the other part started preparing for what I hoped would be my salvation.

Finally, I gathered a lot of energy, more than I had ever gathered before and a huge white ball was created. It was my size and I threw it with all my might at evil me.

She didn't see the invisible energy shield that I had created around me as she redirected the energy ball towards me. It was the strongest shield I could make. All my hope resided in it doing its job well.

As planned, the huge energy ball ricocheted off my shield and went back towards the unprepared fiend. She was so surprised that she didn't have time to do anything. The enormous ball of light hit her head on, and she flew a few feet until she crashed against the huge rock.

When she rose a few moments later, she wasn't me anymore. She didn't look even remotely human. It, for I could no longer imagine it as a human, still possessed humanoid form but its body was longer and it had more muscles than I ever had, it was also of a strange bluish color. The arms and legs didn't just seem to grow stronger, but they also elongated and now it could look down on me.

It felt as if it shed the form that was constricting its powers and it was freer in its true form than ever before.

Surprisingly, I wasn't as terrified as I probably should have been since I could see that my energy ball actually hurt it. There were some slashes on its body, and the bright green liquid was pouring out of the cuts, which I assumed to be blood. It seemed a bit shell-shocked but ready to fight back.

I didn't actually have a plan since I thought that my enormous energy ball would kill it.

It had the same knowledge, the same memories as I. How was I supposed to beat it? Maybe the key was not in our similarities but our differences. We shared the same look and thoughts but I remembered one thing that the demonic spawn lacked, emotions.

While it did know all my memories I could feel that for it they were just mere information, there was no emotional coloring to them.

For example, it did remember me playing with that cute puppy when I was eight years old but it was unable to comprehend the emotions behind it. It could fake the emotion and identify it but it couldn't actually feel it.

What if it could? If I was able to somehow show it all those positive emotions, joy, love, happiness, all the things that made me human, if I could make it feel those emotions what would that do its demonic constitution?

I wasn't sure but I had a feeling that it was something that I had to try to use against it. But how?

All this went through my head as it was slowly approaching me, still not fully recovered from the blow.

I remembered that there was a telepathic connection between us. Maybe if I could summon all my happy memories and send them to it magnified by all the energy I could summon, maybe, just maybe, it could work.

As she prepared to attack, I gathered all my happy memories about my family, friends, all the beautiful things I have seen and done and I wrapped them all up in a blanket of golden light.

At the moment when it was inches from me, ready to strike, I sent all that to its unprepared mind. I was shocked by its reaction, it was screaming as if in pain and holding on to its chest.

"This is torture! Make it stop, please make it stop! That is horrible, simply horrible, all those filthy emotions coursing through my body! It's so terribly human! AGH! AA AAAAA" it started screaming in agony.

Its chest started enlarging and then its whole body started swelling until it just blew up.

It seemed as if the demonic body was unable to cope with all those uniquely human emotions so it just fell apart. There was demon goo everywhere and there were some chunks all over the place, probably body parts.

"Well, that was new. "I said to myself, and ignoring the ominous sounds and smells all around me I just sat down on the ground more exhausted than a dead person should be.

I thought I had enough time to rest since I figured out a way to skip all the levels of Hell and to reach the Dark Lord's lair. Well, I wasn't completely sure but still...
