Randhir couldn't sleep all night. He kept on twisting and turning on the bed till he felt the warm rays of sun peeking through the closed drapes of the window.
He took a deep breath, he knew there was no point of trying now so he got up and decided to stroll outside. He came out to witness the calm breeze flowing and the just risen sun spreading a soothing warmth with absolutely no being around.
He walked aimlessly, still lost in his thoughts as his feet subconsciously took him to the place he had grown the most fond of, the lake.
He reached the lake which gave off the most soothing vibe he just needed. He headed towards the tree and thought to sit on the rock for a while, where he had first been alone with sanyu.
As he approached his seat, he saw an all too familiar figure already sitting there doing the familiar activity.
He reached her and silently sat down on the little space left, purposely giving her a little shove. She finally acknowledged him as he rudely pushed her sideways and just sat there looking at nothing in particular.
"Tumhe kya hua? Subah subah mooh kyu phula rakha hai?" She asked while holding the cigarette box out for him to take one.
He, instead of taking a new one, pulled the lit cigarette out of her other hand with a little force and started smoking it, not answering her. She just shrugged and pulled out a new one for herself as they sat there in complete silence.
"Kaisa laga tumhe woh?" he couldn't control himself and finally blurted out.
"Kon?" She asked, confused at the sudden question.
"Woh ayaan." He spat.
"Ohh. Haan acha laga, sweet hai, polite hai, khud ka business hai uska..." She was interrupted in between.
"Business nhi dairy hai dudh ki." Randhir rolled his eyes.
"Dairy mei khud thodi kaam karta hai woh, business hi kehte hai usse. Anyways, mai keh rhi thi ki thoda sa chomu types hai but overall acha hai. Tumhe kaisa laga?" She asked with a smile.
"Meri pasand se kya farak padta hai." Randhir said lowly as he looked away.
"Haan baat toh yeh bhi sahi hai." Sanyu said, laughing a little.
Silence engulfed them again as suddenly their previous meeting came to sanyu's mind. She immediately remembered that she had to talk to him about it and clear things up. But as soon as she was about to open her mouth, he said -
"Bhot khush lag rhi ho tum, jabse woh aaya hai."
"Of course, tumne dekha nhi tha papa kitne khush the uss din, yehi toh chahte the sab log." She smiled.
"Tumhe kabse sabki chinta hone lagi?" He asked in anger which not only confused her but also enraged her.
"Mujhe humesha se apne ghar walo ki chinta hai. Aur tumhe kyu itni panchayati chadhi hai aaj? Problem kya hai tumhari?" She scowled and raised her voice an octave.
"Tum ho meri problem, nikal hi nhi rhi ho dimag se, upar se yeh sab shadi ka chakkar, kuch samajh hi nhi aarha hai." He finally stood up and shouted pulling her up with himself.
With their cigarettes were long forgotten and thrown on the muddy ground, they both stood in front of each other with fire in eyes and burning hearts.
"Tum bolna kya chahte ho? Seedhe seedhe bolo naa." Sanyu clutched his collars.
"Tum kyu has rhi thi kal uske saath?" He grabbed her elbows and pulled her to his chest.
"Kya bol rhe ho tum? Kiske saath? Waise bhi mai kisi ke saath bhi hasu, tumhe kya farak padta hai?" She looked directly into his eyes, challenging him.
They both suddenly seemed to realize how close they were standing to each other. It was like a déjà vu moment for them. The only difference being that this time instead of leaning in slowly, randhir immediately locked her lips with his.
He kept his grip loose on her elbows and just kept his lips immobile for a couple of seconds to give her the chance to push him away. But seeing no resistance from her side, he happily wound his arms around her waist and left no space between them, kissing her with full force.
Initially Sanyukta was frozen as he kept his lips on hers, she checked her heart for any signs of resistance but surprisingly found none. She could almost feel him smile against her mouth as he finally grabbed her by her waist and started kissing her.
For randhir, it wasn't his first kiss and you cannot really blame him as he never knew that he was already married but none of his previous experiences could prepare him for what happened in those few seconds. He could tell that it was her first kiss and this gave some sort of warmth to his heart.
Sanyu wrapped her hands around his neck and slowly kissed him back. She always thought that whenever she has her first kiss, she'd put in all she has learned in movies and novels but now she knew that it wasn't needed, because it was all too natural.
They put in all their passion and whatever feelings they had for each other as their lips violently moved against each other. After a couple of minutes of fighting the urge to breathe several times, they finally had to break apart.
Randhir rested his forehead on hers and civilized his breath. He then slowly shifted his head a little and whispered in her ears.
"Bhot farak padta hai"
