"Tum mujhe kiss karte time meri behen ka naam loge, toh tumhari aarti utarungi kya?" Sanyukta answered in pure rage.

Randhir stood there numb. He stared at her like a creep for a good whole minute. Sanyu took that minute to calm herself and then started feeling conscious under his constant stare.

"Tum sanaya nhi ho?" He asked dumbly.

"Yeh kaisa question hai? Tum ek hafte se mere saath flirt kar rhe ho aur tumhe mera naam bhi nhi pata?" She asked incredulously.

"Pata hai mujhe... I mean mujhe lagta tha ki mujhe pata hai aur maine koi flirt nhi kiya. Toh sanaya woh tumhari chashme wali behen ka naam hai?" He asked to make sure.

"Haan." She answered.

"Toh uska nickname sanyu hai?" He was completely in a daze.

"Nhi woh toh mera nickname hai." She was confused by his mixups.

"Toh tumhara naam kya hai?" He asked scratching his head.

"Sanyukta." She was answering all his questions patiently.

Randhir's breath got hitched for a moment there as he clearly remembered his mother telling him that his wife's name was Sanyukta.

Does that mean...?

"Woh ayaan kon hai?" He asked again.

"Sanu ka pati." She answered.

"Toh mai kon hoon?" He asked automatically.

"Mujhe kya pata?" Her voice raised a little.

He just stood there, trying to make sense of the situation.

Sanaya - sanu

Sanyukta - sanyu

Ayaan - sanaya

Randhir - Sanyukta

But mom ne kaha tha...

Randhir - sanu?

"Ugh am so confused." He shouted clutching his hair.

"Tum poore pagal ho chuke ho kya? Main Sanyukta hoon, meri Behen sanaya hai aur woh ayaan, sanaya ka husband hai. Tum kon ho mujhe nhi pata." Sanyukta said in an irritated tone.

"Arree yaar main toh randhir hi hoon. But mom ne toh... Mom ne.." He cribs.

"Oh god mujhe samajh nhi aarha tum kehna kya chahte ho." Sanyukta tries to control her raging anger.

"Mai khud nhi samajh paa rha tumhe kya samjhau? Ruko mai starting se batata hoon..." With this he told her all about how his parents had blasted the bomb of child marriage on his head and what all information they had given him. He was hesitant at first but didn't have any other option.

After telling the whole story in a single go, he sits back on the bed on takes in a deep breath. Sanyukta stared at his face for few seconds gaping, then composed herself and bursted out laughing.

"Yeh saari confusion sirf names ki hai. Hum dono ke naamo mei toh humare sage maa-baap confuse hojate hai, tumhare wale toh phir bhi mujhse bachpan mei mile the. Unhone galti se tumhe mera naam 'sanyu' ki jagah tumhe 'sanu' bata diya." She cleared his confusion with the widest smile lingering on her face.

Randhir sat there emotionlessly and then jumped up.

"Mai chhodunga nhi mom dad ko. Mujhe messy bolte hai aur khud se ek kaam dhang se nhi hota unse. Kitna pareshaan hua mai." He burst out.

Sanyukta just stood there expectantly, waiting for him to address the other issue, as he was busy mumbling and cursing his parents for the mess.

"Tum itna gussa kyu horhe ho? Khush nhi ho kya?" She finally asked irritatedly.

"Khush kaise hosakta hoon, itna pareshan kiya unn logo ne mujhe." He answered, still angry, not quite getting her implication.

Sanyukta thought he wasn't happy because now she was his wife and he wanted sanaya. Her eyes filled with angry tears.

"Thik hai divorce papers dena sign kardungi." She shouted angrily.

Randhir was taken aback but her sudden anger and was shocked when she said divorce. That is when he realized that all this also means that she is his wife.

He immediately recovered and held her arms before she could take off.

"Divorce? Divorce kyu?" He asked frantically.

"Abhi tumne hi toh bola ki tum khush nhi ho, toh chhod do mujhe." She tried hard to hide her tears.

"Mera matlab woh nhi tha. Mai bhot khush hoon, sachhi. Mai bas shocked tha inn sab baato se. I promise mai bhot khush hoon and tumhe bhi humesha khush rakhna chahta hoon." He said sincerely looking into her eyes.

"Sachhi?" She asked in a small voice.

"Muchhi. Aur waise bhi tum shayad bhool rhi ho ki humari marriage registered nhi hai, toh divorce kaise dogi mujhe?" He asked with a smirk.

"Matlab mai tumhe bina kisi problem ke kabhi bhi chhod sakti hoon?" It was her turn to smirk.

"Kabhi nhi. Ek baar Mumbai pachuchte hi, sabse pehle humari marriage register karwayenge." He said determined.

They both took a moment to absorb the latest news as his hands found their way to her waist and hers around his neck.

"I love you Sanyukta." He said suddenly.

Sanyukta was surprised by his sudden confession. She hadn't expected it to be so soon but she trusted him and could tell that he said it with his heart.

"I love you too randhir." She replied confidently.

The both leaned in together and joined their lips. This kiss was much more than the last one. It was a promise of togetherness, a promise of love and a promise of forever.

The kiss was soft and slow and passionate as they both celebrated their love and marriage.

It felt like an eternity had passed when they broke apart and looked at each other with love filled eyes and ecstatic smiles.

"I am just thinking tumhari mom ka kya reaction hoga." Randhir said remembering his mother in law's behavior.

And like that conversation flowed between them smoothly as they sat together the entire afternoon, getting to know each other better and making the best out of this opportunity of no one else being home.
