I spent a while just waiting on someone, something a simple indication, a sign.
I always knew I was something else, I always knew I wasn't like everyone, I just felt like I was that one in a million and could never explain it, and today I proved it to myself, to my mom, to the power holders!

I always looked up to them, they're all almost twice my age so they have been there since the day I was born, seeing them just growing trees in the matter of seconds, getting enough fish and fruits that can last us a month! I always wanted to help that way.
Right now I'm waiting, I'm simply waiting for the huge doors in front of me to open, I'm so nervous... what class well I be in? Am I going to be a wizard like Gelen? Or am I going to be an assassin like Jen? Or am I going to be a knight like the rest of them? Either way, I'm about to preform my gift in front of a huge crowd.

Normally when a power holder is found among the people they do this small "test" to showcase their powers

I just hope it doesn't go bad...

Waiting on the doors to open is just infuriating! What could they be possibly setting up? The items are on pillars show cased there all the time, moving the weapons out of the storage to the arena literally takes less than a couple of sunrays!
I'm starting to question time's movement...

"Hey!" A voice broke the deep state of thoughts I was in.

"Nervous?" I look back only to see Jen standing behind me... her dress was stunning! A green dress decorated with roses, unlike any dress that I've ever seen before.
Not that I see much...

"Yes," I laugh

"Don't worry," she laughs
"You're pretty impressive," she reassured me as she got a little closer to me.
"Gotta say, getting Zack to raise his eyebrows?" She paused,
"I can't do that even if I grow a hundred trees at once." I laughed a bit too loud, for a second I forgot that I was nervous a couple of seconds ago!

"Now go." she looked me in the eyes
"Give the readers a good show," she winked at me as she walked away

...what readers? I didn't get much of a chance to think about that as the doors starting cracking open! It made such a loud sound, you'd think it wouldn't be that loud, but it was
However the sound was covered by the cheers of the people standing right outside the chain, spikey dom.

"GO MAX!!!!" I could see my mom up front of the entire crowd
God how loud was she so that I could actually hear her?

I walked in as confident as I could possibly be, which wasn't much at the time.
Two big wooden boards on my right and left, each one carried a certain type of weapon, different swords, axes, maces, even bows!
I approached the board to my right.
A sword.
An axe.
A mace.
A shield.
And a bow.

I chose the sword, it wasn't that heavy, and it wasn't light either, I had a good grip on it and I knew I could use it well.

Gelen used his staff, it looked like he was only tapping it to the floor but the magic that flew through the air with each individual tap was enough to make it feel like a giant was approaching the area.

"Get closer to the pedestals," I heard Gelen's voice, loud and clear

I took a couple of steps further towards them... they were so shiny!
The staff was on the left, glowing, standing tall with magic floating all around it.
The assassin's knives were held by a statue, that was on the right, they had circular holes at the end of them, each knive was put in the middle finger of each hand.
