One hour later, Sky called an Uber to there house which wasn't that late, the driver even intruded Max to some Disney songs, and let's just say the driver was mind blown by the fact that Max didn't know a single one of them.

They walk in the hospital, and the first thing Max sees is Doctor Grayson.

"Hey Mr. Grayson," Max says softly.

"He-" he tried to greet them back but was greeted with a slap from Sandra.

"What was that for!?" He asked.

"Puh, what was that for? You don't even know what that was for?!"

"Mom, we're in the middle of a hospital lobby, let's keep it somewhere private,"

"Yeah, let's." She glared at the doctor, even though she didn't speak they still could tell that her eyes screamed 'I will murder you'

"How on earth do you people manage to get here when my schedule is empty? I literally get one or two free hours through the day and you manage to come the minute they start," Doctor Grayson mumbled.

"I can hear you," she informed him.

"Being a mom gives certain supernatural abilities, one of which is super hearing," Sky told the doctor, slow enough for him to catch that, fast enough to not trigger Sandra.

Now Max actually got a good look at the hospital, the lights that blinded his eyes, the voices he heard, where they all came from.

People in white robes walking around all over the place, fewer people started showing up as they walked in deeper and deeper into the hospital.
Then no one was there but them.

"People don't come here often," Doctor Grayson started explaining.
"it's not ready to take in patients yet,"
"Never has been,"
"Leaks here and there, burn marks everywhere, a fire happened here almost two decades ago and they never bothered fixing it,"
"They were too focused on the other area, and turned this one into a storage room, boxes and empty rooms and whatnot,"
He pointed at one door.
The door.

"This room I took for myself, no one ever came in here other than myself.
"Other doctors and nurses know I have it as a second office, and never really tried to ask around about it,"

"Yet," Sandra said and gave a fake smile.

"Mrs. Sandr-," he turned around only to intake another slap, this time from Sandra's handbag

"Don't you dare say my name you sick freak!" She pushed him away and walked in the room

"She is kinda right you know," Sky added
"Experiments on a baby." Sky made a face of disgust.
"Too low man, too low." He patted the doctor on the back and followed his mother and brother in the room.

"This is the portal," Max smiled.
"I walked through it and got here," he added.

"Cool, let's go." Sky immediately walked towards the portal when he felt a hand fling him backward.

"Where do you think you're going!" Doctor Grayson exclaimed.

"To another dimension?" Sky answered his question almost immediately.

"You got a problem with that?" Sandra asked.
"Ye-" a slap

"No no no, you don't get a say in this," Sandra said
"Let me make this clear for your dumbass,"

"We do whatever the hell we want whenever the hell we want,"
"You've already controlled our lives for a bit too long,"
"Now we're in control,"
"I'm gonna go over there and see where my son is raised, understand this whole new world he's talking about then come back whenever I feel like it," she said calmly.
"Now don't get in my way ever again,"
Intimidating, Sky never saw his mother like that before, sure she can pick a fight but scaring off a grown man and treating him with that much hate all at once... it was all too-new to him

"Oh and,"
"Touch my son again and I will snap your neck and bury you where no one will ever find you, got it?" She got a little closer to him.

"Yes yes, I got it," his voice was too low, filled with fear. If Sandra was a little further from him she wouldn't have been able to listen to what he said.

"Good," she said, gave him her back, tapping away with her tennis shoes.

"He'll get me back to the savage old days," she said with an exhausted tone.

"How savage?" Max asked with curiosity popping out of his eyes.

"Trust me." Sky put his hand on Max's shoulder.
"You don't want to know." Sky shook his head slowly.

"How do we do this exactly?"

"Easy, we walk in." Max took the lead.

He got closer to the vortex, feeling it's current pull him in, feeling gravity's power get weaker by the force of the vortex pulling him into its strong waves.
And he lets go, letting the vortex take him into it, and onto the other side.

Sky and Sandra were soon to follow.

In no time they were all united somewhere else, they were all in the caves of somewhere beyond their knowledge, they were simply somewhere beyond the known.
