"What are you t-talking about?" There's no possible way this easy bake oven knew anything about me and Olivia.
"Cmon, Russo. Everyone knows it. It's not hard to see since you make it so obvious," he said.
"Chase, shut the hell up. You have no idea what you're talking about. And if you'd known any better, you'd know I have a boyfriend."
Shit.
"And who would that be?" He grinned.
"Not that I owe you or anyone else an explanation, but Brett Daniels. So you can shove that sorry blackmail up your ass, Morgan."
He sat there fiddling his pen.
"Now, the only reason I'm not going to tell O is because I don't want to see her get hurt again. So lucky you, you get another try. But I promise you, if I find out you're being disloyal to her or spreading bullshit rumors about me, you'll never see the light of day again."
"Thanks Russo, you're the best!" He whispered loudly, attempting to pull me in for a hug.
"Chase, I swear to God if you lay a hand on me—" and his hands quickly shot down.
I'm not sure what disturbed me more. The fact that I was keeping one of Chase's hookups from my best friend, or the fact that he accused me of being in love with Olivia.
I spent the rest of class trying to figure out what made Chase think I was romantically in love with Olivia.
Did he know something? Suddenly I remembered that night. Did Olivia tell Chase we slept together? Maybe it didn't matter if he did. Like Olivia said, it's what horny teenagers do.

It was finally lunch time and I finally got to see Olivia since she played hooky all day. I searched everywhere in the cafeteria, but my eyes met somewhere else.
"Hey, Brett!" I caught up to him just as he began to leave the cafeteria.
"Oh, hey Charlotte. What's up?"
"Nothing, I was just checking in on you. One minute we were friends and now it just seems like we're not," I said.
"No, totally, that's my bad. I've been super busy lately, but I promise to make it up to you."
"How so?" I said smirking.
"I'll swing by your place at 7," he said winking, and he finally left the cafeteria.
I couldn't help but carry a big grin on my face after my talk with Brett. This was perfect. He was perfect. Everything was finally falling into place, and he could finally live up to the boyfriend title I crafted for him.
"Where have you been all day?" I said, finally meeting up with Olivia after re-entering the cafeteria.
"Okay, you caught me. I've just been busy orchestrating some birthday shenanigans," Olivia said casually.
"O, I've told you a million times I don't like surprises. Why don't we just do something super low-key this year, just the two of us?" I said.
My 17th birthday was slowly approaching in a week.
"Charlotte, it's your 17th birthday! You know, that's technically more important than your 16th. It'll be the last time you're considered a child! You'll only have a year to get arrested without being tried as an adult, you know," she threw in.
"I'm totally fine with just the two of us, O," I said once again. "Just a two person pity party with my mom's lovely lasagna."
"As much as I love Christy's lasagna," she said sarcastically, "I'm going to have to overrule your decision. This birthday is gonna be one you'll never forget!" She shouted.
"Careful with the B word, I don't need any other rumors spreading around," I said.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She said.
"Nothing, O. Just—I'll catch you after school, okay?"
"Whatever you say, Russo," she said, and as I began to walk away I felt a hard slap on my bottom.
"O!"
"Those jeans look great on you Charlotte!" She shouted as she walked the opposite direction down the hallway.
—
My mind was focused on way too many things than it should've been today. Between Chase's behavior, Olivia's shenanigans, and Brett Daniels, I really just needed a short nap.
As soon as Olivia and I got to my house, we raided the pantry and refrigerator for cheez-its, cookie dough, and potato chips.
"We can just order in tonight, my mom won't be back until late tonight," I said after an unsuccessful pantry raid resulting in only a box of stale potato chips. I'd completely forgot Olivia ate the rest of the cookie dough during a game of truth or dare.
"Fine, you know what that means," Olivia grinned.
"Peace and quiet?" I said, as we finally got to my room and I crashed on my bed.
I waited for a response from Olivia, but only felt a heavy body climb on top of me.
I didn't move a muscle, until she moved my hands, placing one on her waist and the other on her bottom. I was still laying down with my knees partly up, so she made herself comfortable on my stomach before leaning down to kiss my neck.
I couldn't help but let out a soft moan and quickly tucked it back in with a subtle lip bite. And eventually, her lips migrated from my neck to little bites on my ears.
"Shit, Liv," I accidentally let out.
"Nice to know what turns you on," she laughed. "Chase loves when I do that. I guess you guys have more in common than you think."
Way to ruin the moment, I thought. I playfully shoved her off of me even though I felt an ache in my chest after what had just happened. This was normal to her. Who was I kidding, she probably did things like this all the time. She's Olivia. And I finally realized we really were just a pair of horny teenagers.
