I'd been through hell the past month

I'd been through hell the past month. Especially because of everything with Brett, Olivia, and my dad. Despite hiding in my room for a few days, I'd say I'd been handling everything pretty well. And for some reason, I felt invincible.

But I wasn't Superwoman, and that realization didn't hit me until I felt the numbing pain from throwing my fist at Chase Morgan's face.

"Shit!" I yelled, grabbing my hand back instantly. This wasn't how I expected it to play out.

"I'll go get you some ice," Chase said, rushing out of the cafeteria.

"Charlotte!" I heard Henry, Jayden, and Harmony shout after me as they ran across the cafeteria.

"Russo, surely you didn't think you could handle Chase Morgan," Harmony said.

"Maybe not, but I could definitely handle a five foot red-head," I said as I winced in pain, causing her to take a few steps back.

"Here," Chase said, handing me a bag of ice he'd gotten from the nurse's office. Thank you?

Maybe I couldn't handle Chase, but Henry could, and it only took him a second to realize as I watched his hand go crashing into Chase's face.

"Henry!" I shouted, attempting to pull him off of Chase with my good hand, which obviously wasn't working. "Jayden! Get him off!"

Soon enough, Jayden finally managed to get Henry off of Chase, but only after watching him get a few punches in.

"Don't you ever come near my sister or Olivia again!" Henry shouted.

"Can you guys please stop being boys and take me to the hospital!" I shouted louder, making everyone turn their head at me.

"While I'm grateful for your defense, Henry, my hand feels like it's about to fall off!" I shouted again, holding up my color-deformed fist.

I wasn't trying to be dramatic, but I could definitely feel something wasn't right.

"Thank you," I said quietly as Henry and Jayden led me out of the cafeteria. We made a run for it after we saw a few teachers making their way to the cafeteria.

"Is she dying, doc?" Harmony asked the doctor as he finished bandaging my hand.

"It's just a small fracture, I'm sure she'll survive," He laughed.
