After a lot of persuasion, I managed to get everyone out of the room so I could talk to Brett, alone.

"Thank you... for the flowers," I said.

"Of course, I just wish I would've been there to lay a lick on Chase too," He laughed. I laughed along with him, but it wasn't a real laugh and he could tell.

"I have to ask you something, Brett," I said suddenly. He was shifty, as if he already knew what I was going to ask.

"Charlotte!" Harmony said, interrupting the conversation. What a surprise.

"Harmony, could you not leave us alone for five seconds?"

"I'd love to, but we have more important things on our plate right now," she said.

"What could possibly be more important Harmony?"

"It's Olivia," Jayden followed after Harmony.

"She's awake," Henry added.

"Char, I'm perfectly capable of feeding myself," Olivia protested as I proceeded to spoon feed her strawberry applesauce. "And I can eat more than baby food, ya know?"

"I know, but it's all we had," I said. She laughed. I missed her smile.

It'd only been a little more than a week since she woke up, and it seemed as if everything was going back to normal. We were going back to normal. Well, almost.

"I hate this stupid brace," she complained as she tried to readjust herself.

"Olivia, stop moving. The doctor said-"

"Char, does it look like I care what the doctor said?" She said as she began to take off her arm sling. She was surprisingly doing well considering her condition, if you disregard the limp in her walk.

"I think it'd benefit us both if I could move around like I used to," She added.

Scratch that, everything was definitely back to normal. I rolled my eyes at her slick comment, but I couldn't help but smile.

I'd been by Olivia's side since she got out the hospital, which to no one's surprise, my mother didn't like. Now I was only allowed to see her after school.
