Ironically, everyone had already left to check on Olivia at the hospital

Ironically, everyone had already left to check on Olivia at the hospital. Lucky for me, Brett stayed behind to make sure I had a ride (hint the sarcasm).

Not to make the situation all about me, but this had to be our most awkward car ride yet. He didn't play any music, probably because we were too busy worrying about Olivia to have a full on concert.

"What happened back there?" He finally asked, breaking the silence.

"Chase Morgan being a dick as always," I said, sounding meaner than I anticipated.

"You... you wanna talk about it?" He asked despite my obvious hateful tone.

"No."

"Okay."

I couldn't tell if I was angry or worried, probably both, but I knew Brett didn't deserve the hostility I gave him.

"Look, I just wanna make sure she's okay, then we can talk," I said more calmly. He simply nodded, and the silent car ride continued.

Although my body definitely disagreed to the physical exercise, I sprinted to the front desk in search of Olivia.

"I'm looking for Olivia Atwood," I said out of breath, Brett finally catching up to me.

"Russo!" I heard a faint voice shout from down the hall. Harmony, Henry, and Jayden came from around the corner. I should've known the raspy yell came from Harmony.

"Where is she? How is she?!" I asked immediately. It seemed like they all avoided the question for a bit, looking anywhere but in my eyes.

"We-we don't know," Harmony finally said.

"What do you mean you don't know?" I asked.

There was the avoidance again. Harmony looking down, Jayden rubbing the back of his head. Henry stepped closer to me.

"It's their stupid family only policy," Harmony said.

"All we can do now is wait," Jayden added.

But I couldn't. I couldn't wait. I needed to see Olivia now.

"Can we at least know how she's doing? If she's... alive?" My sentence quickly faded off as I fantasized the worst.

"All we know is that they rushed her into surgery. Jayden's right, Charlotte. All we can do now is wait," Henry said.
