"HOW?!" I screamed. Lintu laughed sinisterly. Thousands of snakes slithered behind her and spilled out from the cracks in the rocks.
"You didn't think a little flame could kill me, did you?"
"Run!" Sithra shouted. We spun around and sprinted away, jumping over the snakes closing in around us.
"She's coming!" I dared look back to see her running full speed after us. We wove down different paths through the rock, but Lintu always stayed right behind.
"Go left!" Onix shouted. We turned and a massive opening in the canyon awaited us.
"It's the mine!" I exclaimed.
"Hurry, run inside before-" Sithra stopped. The snakes were flooding out of the rock all around and blocking the cave from us.
"Three delicioussss mealssss in one day..." Lintu chuckled darkly and stepped through the snakes. Her reptilian eyes looked us over hungrily, but froze on Onix. "The Spectral Sorcerer himself? How delightful."
