They walked back out of the gate with Onix and Sithra hanging limp over their shoulders.

If two sorcerers couldn't beat them, there's no chance I would have better luck. Fighting was out of the question.

As they carried them up the tunnel and out the mine, I sneaked behind them silently. I had to follow them.

Frenhu laid Sithra down in the back of the wagon and the older brother rested Onix beside. Then, the two climbed up the seat and flicked the reins. I snuck through the died up bushes and untied my horse. My ankle was killing me.

I somehow managed to get in the saddle, wrapping my leg with cloth to help somewhat. I carefully trotted far away enough to avoid detection.

We walked for what felt like hours. I checked behind me. The canyon was barely in sight now. We seemed to be heading into Drunoh Kingdom... the neighbor of Luanth.

While the wagon turned to enter the walls of Drunoh, an idea hatched in my head.

I didn't stand a chance of saving Onix and Sithra by myself, but I didn't have to be alone, did I?

With a grin, I pulled my horse away and ran towards Luanth.
