Onix remained silent for a while, thinking. I knew what he was going to do. I couldn't blame him. He needed that rain, for who knows what reasons.

     Without a word, he drained the puddle and poured every last drop into the vial, securing the stopper on over. With a sigh, he offered it to me.

     I was too shocked for words. Was he really giving up the last drop of Golden Rain?

    "Just take it." He came to his feet. He seemed suddenly very tired. "We have to get that to the Queen as soon as possible."

     "Onix..." I looked at him, surprised. "I... Thank you."

     "Let's go." He waved to me and began walking back. "Marie's probably getting worried."
