Key 2. Diamond Blood

Jisung's POV

I got home and told my mum I'm back. I went to my room and just remembered something. "wait.. I need to check the book". Since I'm a vampire and I don't have any parents with me anymore, I got handed this books from my parents before they died. Its an old dusty book about vampires but it wasn't written by humans, it was written by an old vampire and it basically has everything about vampires in it. When I'm confused about something that's happening to me, then I look in this book to find the answer.

(it's like being 10 and not knowing what a period is then getting it and your like "oh shit am I dying why am I bleeding")

I looked into the contents and eventually found what I was looking for. "ah! page 276" I turned to that page and read it. "Diamond Blood"

"Diamond is the blood of a female vampire. Every female vampire has Dimond Blood but a specific female vamp can be smelled by another specific male vamp. Only one male can smell another female, that's how we vampires identify our mate"

'that's not it..wheres the part about humans?' I skimmed it a bit until I saw the word human. I found it so I read out what it said.

"A vamp can't find humans attractive, a vamp can only be attracted to another vamp because before a vamp is born, it's waiting up in the higher realm and it's already paired with someone so when they come into this world they will be mates"

(If you remember correctly, I found Y/N cute earlier when we were walking home and I knew that vamps can't find humans attractive, that's the reason why I searched this up in the book if you're wondering)

"But... how come I found Y/N cute? She's human... if she was a vampire I would be able to tell... I'm just overreacting! It wasn't an attraction. Ugh, this is what I get from hanging out with Mark too much! I've started to overreact like him!"

I spent the rest of my day alone in my room as usual. "Jisung!! Come down for dinner!" I heard my mother call from downstairs. "Coming!"

Y/N was eating dinner, as usual, with her sister. "So did you meet anyone today? Specifically a cute boy.." Asked Y/S/N, Y/N's sister. Y/N stopped eating and looked at her sister. "Um, no". Then she went back to eating. Her sister started teasing her.

At Jisung's house, he was also eating dinner. His mum suddenly asked him something. "I heard there was a new student in your school. Who is it?" Jisung looked at his mum. "Is it really important?" he asked her and just nodded with a smile. "It's a girl named-"

"It's a girl?!!!" she asked in excitement.
"um..yeah.." Jisung said kind of confused why she was so excited.
"What's her name?!!?!"
"it's Y/N"

His mum's face lit up and Jisung was really confused. "So..is she pretty?" Jisung almost choked on his food when his mum said that. "Why are you asking me this? I'm not gonna date her so don't try mum" His mother's face went straight. "well..nevermind then.." she continued eating her food pretending to be sad and angry so that Jisung would feel sorry for her and listen to her.

Jisung saw his mum eating in an annoyed way and felt a bit bad. "Mum, you know that even if I date a human I'm not able to have feelings for them anyway, what's the point of dating without any feelings?" His mum looked at him and kind of agreed but still defended herself. "Yes, but whilst you're trying to find your mate, why don't you experience what it's like?". After a lot of commotion, Jisung just gave in to his mother. "fine..I'll date...but only one girl and only for a short while!" His mother smiled happily. "Ha! I knew you would give in!" Jisung rolled his eyes playfully and continued eating.
