Mabel was left with that one single job for today, hiding away from Skyler Foster, behind the doors of lockers, blending in the crowd, she decided to just ignore him. She is not scared. Just saving her sixteen years old souls.
She could have chosen another option but it's a complicated MCQ with similar-looking answers and the correct answer cannot be guessed by her because she's an average student. She can only assume, Skyler Foster, dropping her home in his car -she has already failed the test- With remark--Skyler is going to drag her anyhow so why should she waste her energy.
She'd better prepare herself to use the emergency call as fast as possible rather than making him feel she's scared of him. Facing him is better than surrendering. Well, here she can't make out the difference.
Honestly, She sense exaggeration but instead of thinking straight to the point, She likes creating fudge in her brain. Will Skyler Foster chase her for no genuine reason? What is even scary about him? His muscles? What if he's part of some mafia gang? She analysis about her opponent, preparing herself for the worse.
The sole of her shoes hit hard over the parking lot rough surface as she approaches close to Skyler's car, the stupid black, Chevrolet.
She instantly finds him in her sight.
His crystal eyes are gawking somewhere far to his left. With crossed ankle over other, his palms are resting over his car hood behind and hips supporting his leisure posture. His maintained athlete body is footed as if he is posing for her to capture it. Her pace slows down and for the least moment, She appreciates the way he looks especially his angular jaw and the creamy skin that is melting under this faded sunlight.
He catches the presence of Mabel but remains in the same pose just the eyes of his scan her features thoroughly and after the judgment, he realizes that it's Mabel Rivera.
"I was about to call boys to bring you to me." He says with a boyish grin.
"What a gentleman," She says standing a meter away from him.
"Okay then let's go... We gotta lot of things to talk about," He tilted his head towards the passenger seat then looks back into her eyes but she breaks it instantly stepping aside to the passenger seat door.
She swings it open and takes a seat without disturbing her brain. She fastens her seatbelt. Skyler was processing all of her moves and finally appears at the opposite door to her. He leans down and looks inside, "I'm still in doubt--"
"Don't stress your brain... I'm getting late." She decided to have a stranger drop her home today. She will never forgive Ryan for this. He wasn't even replying to her text.
Skyler takes his seat and the aroma inside the car mingles with his scent as the door gets shut. He carefully drives to the exit and continues further. He looks at her once and when she catches his glimpse, he takes back his eyes on the road and chuckles. His grip is soft over the wheel. Mabel studies his veins climbing over his arms. He is visually sexy she cannot deny it.
This time he catches her stare at him and smirks but then his chuckle escapes which only fills Mabel's cheek with an embarrassing blush.
"Do you know where I'm taking you?" He asks looking at her again with that stupid grin.
"Do you know 911?"
He chuckles nonchalantly, "Starbucks!"
"First you are going to drop me and then wherever the fuck---"
He arches his brow but this time she continues, "---Wherever the fuck you wanna go, Go!!"
He sighs but then speaks, "I'm hungry."
