17 | His Chase

"Skyler? Are you there?" Mabel asks in worry.

He starts laughing, "Were you really fooling around with Carlos?"

She scoffs in the air, pulling a pillow closer, "I thought you were dead for a minute!"

"Let's have face time." He chortles.

She re-does her hair into a less messy bun, reminding herself to stay calm. It's just a call. Breathe. She accepts the incoming video call, there was a detailed glimpse of his bare shoulders he was lying over his stomach and hiding his stupid face hiding a pillow. The source of light emits from his left. His skin looked golden under it.

"Hey, Mabel." He smiles and even in the dull light, she could see his dark blue glazing eyes. Her heart shakes a bit.

His voice sounds deeper and low, "Are you even going to say something?"

"Why did you make a sudden call?" She presses her back to the headboard behind her.

"Did you hide Carlos somewhere behind the camera?" He talks softly, his eyes gleaming with a tease.

She stares back, "Are you done talking shits?"

He muffles his little laugh behind his pillow, shaking the screen a little. Mabel was so annoyed at his little tease but her smile was unable to put a curtain at itself. He looked over his shoulders talking to someone behind him, "What are u doing here, babe?"

Before Mabel could have assumed the wrong idea Skyler turns his camera towards the little girl standing at his door in her tiny PJs, "Amy... Say hi to my friend Mabel."

"Hii! Mabel." The little brunette says sweetly.

Skyler asks her, "Are you not asleep, Babe?"

The little girl nods, "Can I sleep with you tonight?"

Skyler smiles at the screen. A smile creeps over Mabel's lips too. His smile was contagious. He gets back to his previous position but this time even Amy was peeping too, "Is she your best friend, Skyl?"

Mabel chuckles.

Skyler whispers something to his little guest who giggles cutely.

"Skyler, what did you say to her?"

I'm gonna kill this man.

Amy laughs covering her little mouth with her cute hands, "It's a secret between us." They both do a pinky swear. Mabel adores the little girl.

"No problem when I'll get there tomorrow, I will make you both spill that secret," Mabel tells maliciously.

Amy giggles more loudly, rolling over Skyler's shoulders. Then a little yawn follows on her face.

Mabel says softly, "Goodnight Amy, you should probably sleep now."

She nods cutely, "Goodnight." And hugs Skyler.

After a pause when she looks soundly sleeping, Skyler grins sweetly at the screen, "I want to come over."

It though affected Mabel but she's going to act as if it's so normal of him to say that, "And why did you think of that?" They were talking softly making sure they don't disturb Amy who was already in her dreamland.

He nods, denying something which he was about to say. But rather he asks. "Are you sleepy?"

Actually, she was but she doesn't feel much sleepy now, "Little bit, You?"

He stares at her smiling actually a bit of smirking.

"What?" She asks awkwardly, sensing another tease from his side. Why does he have to look so good and why the fuck am I feeling all weird.
