When Mabel stepped out of Skyler's car and glanced back at him, his face teeming in tensity, "Are you sure everything's good?"

Mabel smiled before sauntering near her driveway, "I said you already, I got this. No worries." Deep under her skin the fear crawled resenting.

Skyler called over, running his fingers swiftly between his brunette locks, "I'll give you a call."

Last time she glanced over before hurrying towards the porch, "Sure! Goodnight." Just in case if things wouldn't have ended so differently tonight, she would have kissed the beautiful lips of the young man who was visibly daunted in the current situation. She could have laughed at this but does she dare to mess her mom's mood to edge it at a death threatening level.

Skyler drove away once the front door swung open, Marina stands with an incredulity crossing over her face. Mabel shivered in nervousness. Her mom gestured her daughter inside, the pair of cat eyes glasses rested like a crown between her brunette hair which was an indication that Marina stepped out of her busy office mood to welcome her brat child, "Once you get changed into your PJs. Come down. We need to talk, cinderella."

Mabel paced in a hurry looking across Ryan who was sitting beside John in the living room. She hoped he didn't spice up to make Mabel's situation more fucked up.

After taking straight fifteen minutes to get rid of her fancy dress and makeup, she strides downstairs in her comfy sweatshirt.

Marina crossed her arms studying her daughter who stood next to the  stairs, "Why did you lie about being with Zoe?"

Mabel raised her gaze to only meet with John's who was equally not happy like Marina. Besides, Ryan was visibly reddening in an attempt of holding his laugh. Mabel would punch his perfect charming face if he'd utter a single syllable to worsen the atmosphere.

Mabel answered honestly, "I was with my other friends."

"Like who?" Marina asked back.

"Skyler--"

John interrupted walking closer to his daughter, "Did he force you to do drugs? Are you okay?"

Ryan almost barfed holding his laugh but when Marina glared, he sat silently in terror.

Mabel cried, "Dad. I'm okay. We were at my friend's--- we were at Marcus Albrecht's birthday party."

John's face knotted in confusion, "Skyler forced you to break in Marcus Albrecht's birthday party!"

Mabel stood slack-jawed, "Dad! We were invited, Skyler has a friend who IS Marcus' son."

John reflected the expression of her daughter's but in an exaggerated surprise, "So  you are telling me you met Marcus-Marcus Albrecht!?"

"Yes, dad." Mabel relaxed her shoulders. She couldn't believe Marcus would save her.

John took a step back, chuckling, "You are lying, right?"

Mabel laughed in a hint of nonchalance, "No, I really went to a luxury restaurant. It was so fancy. I almost got blinded."

Marina was eventually hearing over her husband's and daughter's talk and growing more anxious, "Are you both done?"

John looked over his wife, "You know what Marie, We should spare her this time. Our daughter spoke no lie but all truth."
