"I was not going to spare you this easily but right now I have to..." Skyler whispers slowly before Riley's voice yanks Mabel into reality.
"Skyl... are you done having fun with your little friend there?" Riley addresses walking past beside them giving Skyler a stern look and not even concerned about what she spoke a minute before. Skyler's hands slip away from Mabel and he follows Riley without even glancing back at Mabel.
Mabel watched him leave, keeping an arm around Riley's shoulders, talking after every laugh escaping alternately makes her wonder, did she lose him for real?
Even if she did lose him then why to this group of morons who doesn't have brains and why to this girl named Riley, who always gets caught in detention for firing some deadly sarcasm at the teachers. She spends most of her time doing random stuff i.e Listening to music while sitting under the bleachers, sketching around, and chewing bubble gum 24/7 hrs, and her favorite thing hanging out with this special edition of a group of boys a.k.a Bad-boys. Mabel remembers the first meeting of Riley and hers which was probably during their freshman.
Mabel was rushing into the girl's washroom it was an emergency after drinking liters of water, She saw Riley sitting in one of the stalls, not doing anything just sketching something in her diary. She arched her brows while unplugging the earphones, "Occupied... Use the next one."
It wasn't a perfect time to have a conversation with her so Mabel just rushed into the next one.
Till that time Riley was the loneliest girl in their school and everyone knew she doesn't talk much to anyone. No one exactly knows that how she ended up being so good friends with Dylan, Gray... Skyler.
Mabel thinks Skyler doesn't belong between them or maybe he does she shouldn't think much.
Few steps ahead of her, unfortunately, she comes across a person, whose glimpse is enough to spoil her whole day. Drake Flynn. She didn't talk to him since Zoe bit the shit out of him. She's embarrassed to face him.
He walks ahead of her to the entrance, glancing back at her but She doesn't look into his eyes at all besides she just walks past him into the class displaying a good sign of ignorance. Reality jolts her thoughts, again she has to keep her head straight to the board and mind over Mrs. Fiona's words because sharing this class with him isn't the same as before.
Mabel sees only a few seats empty inside the class which also has that one seat, unoccupied beside Drake where she used to sit before and another one is in front of... Gray Morgan.
One of her classmates, Delphine walks beside pushing her, boldly swaying her hips, the major population of their school renounces her as the victoria secret model after she made a swimsuit collection YouTube video which Mabel had no idea about, "Oh Sorry... I didn't see you there!" She fakes an apology. She looks exactly like one of those bitches who are always ready to steal your boyfriends. Her heels tap over the floor as she walks to Gray Morgan. Mabel knows she pushed her purposely to take that lucky seat.
Although, Gray was smiling at Mabel and he nods to the empty seat in front of him. Mabel chuckles looking at this Delphine's disgusted expression when Gray says to her, "This seat is reserved babe and if you still want to sit here then I want to warn you already about my upset stomach, I feel like not well today and I can puke right any moment." Mabel averts her gaze around the class and no more empty seats except the seats around Drake's and Gray's and so she chooses the front seat to Gray.
Mrs. Fiona enters requesting, "Class take your seats!!" Delphine makes her way to the seat beside Drake with a frowning look.
Gray leans to his front and says, "You are welcome."
