We slowly continued our way through the streets. Now that we had Bee, it went a little faster. Although I was put in charge of watching over Sam and Carly which is just great. Please note my sarcasm. Don't get me wrong, I love Carly and Sam, but my god if the two of them don't stop screaming I will make myself go deaf if they don't do it first. The closer we got to the building with the pillars, the more Decepticons and screams there were. Primus, I just want to get this over with so we can take down that red psychopath.
"Parker! Decepticon, nine o'clock!" Uncle Will shouted at me and I swung to the left with my gun up to my shoulder. There stood Barricade in all his ugly glory. I looked down the scope of my rifle and placed the reticle perfectly over his eye before shooting. I hit him dead on and he stumbled around holding his eye. I aimed the rifle again at his other eye this time, not hesitating to shoot him again. This time Barricade staid down, but he wasn't dead. Barricade has been one of the few Decepticons that seem like they could be given a second chance. This was his and I hoped to Primus he took it because the Decepticons will not survive this. I made my way over to him and spoke clearly.
"Barricade, this is your second chance. Join the Autobots, or die trying to fight them today. We are will to let you live, only if you relinquish your loyalty to the Decepticons." I stated and he seemed to think over it.
"What's in it for me?" He asked blindly.
"What's in it for you is your life and your dignity," I told him and he nodded.
"I will accept your terms, Megatron is a jackass anyways." He said.
"Good, welcome to the good side Barricade. After this is over, hide because your life depends on it. We will all be hunted, but we will survive." I said and he seemed to understand.
"I get that the humans are with the Autobots no offense but uh, aren't these kinds of decisions up to the Prime?" He asked me.
"He trusts me, believe me when I say that. You will be spared by us, but I ask you to keep yourself safe. Can you do that for me?" I asked.
"Yes." He answered.
"Good, now I must go. Till all are one Barricade." I said as a goodbye.
"Till all are one." Barricade replied and slowly made his way towards the edge of the city before transforming and driving away.
"What was all that about? You let a Con get away?" Uncle Will said as he came up behind me.
"No, I gave him a second chance," I told him.
"You're a better person than me kid, don't ever change." He said and clapped me on the back.
"I'll try my best," I replied and we walked back to the group. I looked forward and saw exactly what I was looking for. The tower.
"Alright, we've got around ten Cons at the bottom and Sentinel up top. Everyone come with me, Parker you know what to do." Uncle Will said and I nodded before splitting off from them. They went to take out the Cons at the base of the tower while I made a wide curve around it. I stopped at a building and waited there for my queue. Uncle Will and the guys kept taking out the Cons one by one. My breath hitched when I saw Carly split off and walk away from them. What the hell is she doing? I didn't have time to worry about it because my mate came hurtling through the air and attacked the control pillar. It blew up and Sentinel yelled in anger. He glared down at my mate and brought out his glaive then slid down the tower using it as a grip. As soon as he hit the ground I moved out from my position. When I made it to the next building I started shooting at his face before he went to attack Optimus. They both looked at me and looked confused. I shook my head and kept shooting Sentinel to keep him distracted. Optimus took the opportunity and led Sentinel away from the humans. I followed along, distracting the red bastard when needed. Once they made it to a bridge, I decided to transform and turn into my Guardian form. Sentinel turned to look at me and his face turned shocked.
"The prophecy, it's true!" Sentinel yelled and I smiled under my face guard. I stood next to Optimus and he nodded to me. I nodded back and we both got a hit on Sentinel. He got up from the ground and seemed to waver on his pedes slightly.
"Optimus, we were gods once. Now you serve these ignorant flesh creatures. It's belittling." Sentinel commented. I growled at him and I could feel Gryphon get riled up. I let her through a little and I could feel my senses get better.
"Guardian, how could side with these fleshlings?" Sentinel asked with a disgusted tone. This asshole insults my species, then insults my judgment. On my last straw, I pulled the Godkiller from my back and twirled it in my hand. Sentinel's eyes widened and he looked shocked.
"Sentinel, you would be wise to stop insulting her," Optimus said with anger twisted in his voice. I growled at Sentinel in agreement.
"Then you both will die." He said and charged at us. He focused on Optimus more than me. I grabbed his arm before he hit my mate and twisted it before flinging him over my shoulder and into the ground. Sentinel got back up and roundhouse kicked me in the face. By the time I got up, Sentinel had stabbed Optimus through the shoulder. I went to tackle Sentinel but he twisted his blade and Optimus' arm came off completely. My spark jerked with pain and I could feel my arm go numb. His groan of pain fueled my rage and I grabbed the Godkiller before swinging around to be met with an incoming Megatron. He kicked Sentinel off of Optimus and punched him in the head. I helped Optimus up and let him lean on my shoulder slightly. I held my hand on his chest and eased his pain. He looked at me with thankful eyes and I nodded in return.
Megatron kicked Sentinel to the ground and looked toward us. "All I want is a truce Prime, to be in control again. After all, what are you without me Optimus?"
"Time, to find out," Optimus said darkly and grabbed his axe from the ground and clicking his face guard into place. I gripped the Godkiller tightly and approached the enemies across the field. Optimus went after Megatron and sunk his axe into his face. Optimus switched grips and pulled his head from his body. I smiled at him as I could feel some of the tension lift from his shoulders.
"Optimus, you have to understand why I betrayed you. I just wanted the survival of our race." Sentinel pleaded. Optimus spoke for the both of us as he stepped forward.
"You didn't betray us, you betrayed yourself." He replied before nodding to me. I swung the Godkiller and sliced Sentinel's head clean off. The sword hummed in my hands and glowed blue slightly.
"Thank you," Optimus said in a hushed tone and I nodded to him with a smile. The humans started approaching us and I watched as Sam and Carly ran across the bridge to meet each other in the middle. They met in a hug and kissed each other. I smiled at them and left them on their own. I sighed to myself and knew what was coming next. My Dad and I met gazes and read each other's minds. We need to get out of here, none of us are safe anymore. We are being betrayed by the only place I've ever called home and by the people who I once called my own. I'm done being a human. I'm a cybertronian hybrid with no ounce of human blood in my body. I don't fit in here and I never will. I have lost my faith in humanity.
