Chapter 3 ~ The New Beginning

I arrived in my new home of Utah at 3:30 am and I have to drive another 7 hours to St. George.

I pulled over in a parking lot and checked the horses. I also opened their windows for them.

*7 hours later*

I finally got to the place where I'm keeping the horses, and was greeted with a warm welcome! "Hi! Welcome to Sunshine Ranch! What can I help you with?" A kind boy asked, "Hi! I'm here because I'm moving my three horses here." I told him, "Oh so you must be Kassidy?" He said, "Yep that's me!" I replied, "Ok, I'm the assistant/co-owner my names Mark Henderson, and over there is our ranch hand, Tyler Borden. These will be your horses stalls, after you get them settled in I'll show you around!" He said, "Ok!"

I unloaded the horses and walked them to their stalls. They are very nice stalls with a run so the horses can be in or outside. I unblanketed them and asked where all my tack should go, "You get this portion of the tack room, so you have 3 saddle racks, 6 grain bins, bridle/halter hangers, and you can add whatever you need!" He said, "Ok great! Could you help me move my stuff in? I've got a lot of it!" I told him, "Of course!" He replied.

We moved all my stuff in and be showed me around, "So we have our indoor arena here, on both sides of it we have stalls, there's a box and we have barrels and poles that you can use too! If you come outside on the north we have 3 big pastures and the walker and if you go to the south side we have our big outdoor arena it is also our rodeo arena! Then we have 2 round pens! Oh, and on the side we have hay, manure pile and fresh saw dust or shavings whatever you call them!" He said, "Ok! Is there a turn out schedule?" I asked him, "Yep! All horses get turned out in the morning and brought in about 1-2 hours later!" He responded, "Ok and I'm able to use everything here?" I asked, "Yep! Just don't go in the house!" He responded, "Ok! And I don't need to come down here to feed them?" I asked, "Nope, we'll feed what you wants us too!" He said, "Ok then! I guess I'll be back later today!" I said.

After I got the horses dropped off I went to the new place. I pulled in and it was a really nice place! I walked in after I got my key and everything looks brand new! I set my backpack down and went to get my boxes.

After an hour of moving things in I finally got it all inside. I shut the door and put my lavender sheets on and sea foam bed spread on the bed, and I put all my clothes away, organized my work space, and put away some of the things that I already got for the baby.

I got a text when I was taking a break from all the craziness.
Brooke: How are you? Did you get there ok?
Me: Yes, I got the horses settled in and I just finished unpacking and organizing everything in the apartment. And the co-owner of the barn is really cute! Are you doing ok?
Brooke: Ok, yeah I'm good. What's this guys name?? And mom and dad are really mad and kinda worried and they are scaring me.
Me: Ok, hang in there. One day it'll all go away! And, his name is Mark Henderson, I'll text you lasted I promise! I'm gonna go to the barn and see the horses.
Brooke: Ok! Ttyl!

I grabbed my keys and went to the barn. "Hey Kassidy! Your back already?!" Mark asked when I came in, "Yeah I thought I'd come check on them." I said. After that I got all three out and tied them up in the cross ties and brushed them and took them out to the pasture and I let them graze.

I brought them in and put them in their stalls and got their grain for them and hung the buckets by the gate.

I left the barn and picked up some pizza from Papa Johns and took it home with me for dinner and I sat on the couch with my pizza and a show.

I finished my dinner and I decided that I'd get showered, so I grabbed my pjs and hopped in the shower. It's been nearly three months now and I was really starting to show. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon so I can find out the gender! I got out and put my pjs on and I felt so refreshed! It's been 24 hours since I've showered.

I finished in the bathroom and I fell asleep instantly when I got in bed.
