Chapter 4 ~ The Reveal

"I hope it's a girl!" Brooke said over the phone as I pulled into the doctors office parking lot, "Me too!" I replied, "What are your top two names for a girl??" She asked, "Either Lena Rylee Jackson or Indie Elayna Jackson. I'm leaning more towards Lena though." I told her, "Awesome! I like Indie best, what about a boy??" She asked, "Either Stetson Blake Jackson, or Haze Austin Jackson. I'm leaning more towards Haze though." I replied, "Awesome, I like Haze better." She said, "Ok, I'll FaceTime you after I get a gender reveal put together!" I told her, "Ok!! I'm super excited!" She said, "K bye!" I said as I walked into the doctors office.

"Hi, I have an appointment for Kassidy Jackson at 11:30." I said to the lady, "Ok, can I just have you sign all of these papers?" She said, "Yep!" I filled out the papers and turned them in and I heard them call my name "Kassidy! We'll have you come back now." The nurse said, "So your here for the gender?" She asked me, "Yeah" I replied, "Ok! It looks like it's a........ Girl!" She said, "Yay! And she's due on March 20th right?" I asked, "Yeah! Just don't ride your horses if you have any, and be careful with the things you do. You are free to go!" She said.

I hurried to the store and bought pink balloons and gold and pink confetti. I got home and taped the balloons to the bottom of the box, and I cut the top flaps off then filled it with confetti.

I FaceTimed Brooke and I set her on the top of the table so she couldn't see the box, "Are you ready?!" I asked her, "Yes!" She replied, I flipped the box upside down and the balloons and confetti fell out. "AHHHHHH! It's a girl! I'm so excited! Have you chosen her name??" She asked, "Nope not yet, but I'll probably decide tonight or tomorrow." I said, "Ok let me know when you choose!" She said, "Ok I gotta go I only have 10 more minutes left of my break from work so I'll call you later!" I said, "Ok see ya!" She said, "Ok bye!" I said and she hung up.

I pulled up to work and went to my desk, and everyone was asking me "How'd it go?" Or "What are you having?!" I replied to them as I walked "A girl!" And kept walking.

I finished my work for the day, and went to the barn. I was wearing a tighter shirt today that really showed off my belly so people were surprised that I was having a baby. "Hey Kassidy! I didn't know that you were expecting!" A voice said behind me, it was Mark. "Yeah, that's why I haven't been able to ride." I told him, "Oh well congrats! Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?" He asked, "It's a girl!" I replied while I brushed Nala, "Awesome, I'm assuming that your married..." he said, "I'm actually not, I know kinda bad, but I found out right after me and my boyfriend broke up." I said, "Oh, well I'll leave you to it!" He said.

I took Nala into the round pen and lunged her along with Rose and Luke.

I fed them their grain and headed back to the house.

I got home and sewed some tailbags and packed orders so that I could ship them out the next day. I then ate dinner and went to bed.
