A/N: Sorry I'll get to the actual plot line soon. Just bare with me.
It was Sunday again, the first day of the matches began.
"Why are you wearing a mask Satomi?" Noriko asked Satomi.
"Refer to me as Tomi, and nothing else, no surname or real name. Same goes for during the game, my identity is very important, and cannot be leaked to the public or else I'll not only be hoarded at school, but cameras would follow me non-stop." Satomi said. Noriko nodded. They headed over to the table.
"We were given the number nine, so we have to be doubles pair 9." Noriko said. They looked at the chart, it was simple 1 played 2, 3 played 4, 5 played 6, and so on. They found 9 playing ten at court 5. The two of them already heard people whispering since they were younger than most players today. While other players were 13 or 14, they were 9 almost 10.

The two of them talked quietly as they headed over to court 5 with their tennis bags on their back.
"We'll play regular doubles for the first game. I need some time to analyze our opponents. Second game I'll tell you what we will be doing. Either we continue the way we were, play defense, or play offense. This is why in the past week we work on stamina a lot. Use the split step to the best of your advantage." Satomi said.
"Wait, let me play just off of instinct." Noriko said.
"Fine, but if I tell you to switch, we switch. I'm better at protecting baseline, on the other hand you seem to be better at net play. If a ball goes down the middle be aggressive, take it if possible."
"I know, I know, and if I'm not certain that I can get it I'll call for you to take it." Noriko said with a sigh.
"Also if it goes down the middle and I call it, leave it be, I'll take it." Satomi said.
"You're thinking about it too much. Let's just go with the flow." Noriko said.
"I know I am, but this is my first time playing doubles in actually match play." Satomi said. Noriko nodded understanding.
Soon enough they saw there opponents. It was an all girl's tournament, so the opponents were, of course, female opponents. They kept on looking over at Noriko and Satomi and laughed 'knowing' they were going to win easily.
"Wait...What about lobs?" Noriko asked.
"If they come down in front of the service line I want you to try to overhead it, if you know you can't call for me, I'll cover at baseline. Remember only switch once I tell you to, so if you're at baseline and I'm at net when a lob or moon shot comes I need you to cover for me." Satomi said getting her tennis racquet out and grabbing a ball from her backpack.
"Let's work on control and precision first." Satomi called out. Her visor covering her eyes while her mask covering her face. The only thing visible about her head was her dark hair that was put up in a little ponytail.
