"Why am I blindfolded again?"
"Because I said so."
"Ow!"
"Sorry."
"What did I walk straight into?"
"A wooden fence."
"I told you to be careful!"
"I was careful, but your constant talking is distracting me!"
"Where are we?"
"Please just be patient."
"Sei-kun~~~" Satomi whined.
"Just a little further okay?" Seiichi Yukimura told his girlfriend.
"Oooooooo, I smell something." Satomi said.
"Yeah?" Seiichi asked.
"It smells like nature." Satomi said.
"What does Nature even smell like?" Seiichi asked.
"I can't describe but but but! You should know." Satomi exclaimed.
"Ok, stop." Yukimura said. He carefully untied Satomi's blindfold.
A few hours earlier he had told her to dress up nicely and he too cleaned up very nicely. Satomi wore a sundress with wedges. They were back in Japan for awhile. The couple had taken tennis go an international scale and did it together, supporting one another behind the scenes.
Satomi's time in France had quickly come to an end after her first Grand Slam win and had participated in international tournaments to boost her ranking. Yukimura played in college before starting off professional in Japan and worked his way out into Europe and soon the Americas.
"Aaaaaaa CHOOOOOO" Satomi sneezed.
"Are we near flowers again?" Satomi asked as her allergies started coming in. Yukimura laughed.
"Can I take the blindfold off?" Satomi asked.
"A few more steps. Step up with this one step." Seiichi instructed. Satomi took a step up and the ground wasn't as soft anymore.
Seiichi lead her a few more steps up forwards.
"Ok." Seiichi said as he untied her blindfold. Satomi adjusted her eyes to the sun. It was sunset, and the skies were a beautiful assortment of warm colors. The warm summer breeze passed them blowing her hair and dress back a bit. Seiichi smiled.
She took in her surroundings. They were in a beautiful field of flowers. Standing in the gazebo right in the middle of all of it.
"Oh wow." Satomi said looking around in wonder. She moved towards the edge of the gazebo taking in the windy path they had taken to get there. She carefully reached down to touch the petals on one of them.
"Sei-chan! Aren't these beautiful? Waahhhh. They're too beautiful to be picked." Satomi said. Seiichi was quiet though.
"Sei-chan." Satomi said. She stood up and turned around only to drop back down in shock.
There he was, in a suit, looking so handsome, on one knee with a ring out. The small black velvet box contrasted the shiny little object inside. Satomi covered her mouth as she stood back up heading over to him.
"Dear Satomi-chan,
We have met under the lead convenient of circumstances and confided in each other due to our similarities. We ended up finding love where love seemed nonexistent. I want to save everything for the day we say our vows, so Will You Marry Me?" Seiichi asked. Satomi dropped down so she was eye level with him. She tackled him into a hug.
"Yes. Yes! Oh my god! 100% yes!" Satomi squealed. Seiichi hugged her back and lifted her up twirling her as he used his hand to close the small box. As soon as he stopped, he placed her down and opened the small box again. Took out the beautiful shining ring and took her left hand before slipping the beautiful jewel onto her ring finger.
(It's supposed to be black box, but whatever)
"It's a big diamond." Satomi commented looking at it while she was embracing Seiichi.
"Mhm." Seiichi said.
"What season wedding are you thinking?"
"I want an autumn wedding, but indoors. The outdoors are too unpredictable." Satomi said.
"Come on. Let'd go tell the news to everyone and celebrate, future Yukimura-san." Seiichi said.
"Of course, fiancé." Satomi said. Seiichi intertwined his hands with his new fiancé and they headed back the windy pathway through the beautiful field of flowers as the sunset glowed behind them.
(It was a short and cute little bonus chapter)
