Drift gulped and for the first time he felt true fear. It wasn't often that anybody could threaten him and he would actually back down, but with the cold barrel of a gun pointed to his head there was no other instinct but to tremble.
Unbeknownst to the others, Drift was scared for his life, but a front can go a long way and that's exactly what he was going to put up. The voice questioning him was obviously a female's, there was no question in that. Not to mention anyone could tell by the way her voice sounded that she wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger.

"Who are you? Give me a name." She nudged the gun against him once more.
"Drift." He answered her in a short, stifled voice. He was agitated now rather than scared, his foot started to tap with impatience as he heard two others run up.

      'this is squads?'

"How did you get here?" She lowered the gun after seeing her two partners, now holding nothing in her hand she stepped away to get a better look at the newcomer. He definently wasn't from around here, instead of trying to retaliate he stood still, he didn't jump or run or pull out a gun. Not even a harvesting tool.
"No idea." Short reply once again, he bothered to shrug even. Brite turned to look at her squad members, giving them a clueless look.
"Should we kill him?" Cuddle held up a blue pump, she said it so damn nonchalantly it gave Drift chills. Yeah, this is definently Fortnite in its purest form. "We're one member down-"

"He won't be any use to us."

After that statement it got silent. The three of them were all looking at him, it was clear the end decision would end up in his death if he didn't give them a reason to keep him alive. He could only imagine how he'd look in game, standing there like an idiot as a squad threatens to kill him, but it all looked and felt so different. Since when did the people in Fortnite speak anyway?
"Let's make a deal, cool?" He sighed, raising his hands as if to say he surrenders, "I'll join your squad, if I can get one kill, let me stay, if not well.. it was nice knowin ya." Brite smirked and gave a nod of approval, he knew very well how to persuade her, "It's a deal!" She spoke before any of her teammates could protest.
Begrudgingly Cuddle Team Leader waved towards Drift. She always looked friendly on the outside, but it was obvious she was bearing a frown. Rex on the other hand decided to brush it off of his shoulders, although not completely agreeing he pulled up his map, searching for their next destination.
"E-Ey!" Drift stumbled over his two feet as Brite, being too friendly as she always is, put an arm around him and pulled him in.
"Welcome to the squad noob!" She smiled and he grunted, finding her statement uncomfortable. Not only was she a lot stronger than she looked, but her jokes that carried hidden insults weren't so pleasant either. He wasn’t too fond of her friendliness, which was pretty obvious by his facial expression despite his eyes being the only thing visible. The man was reluctant towards her, and his first impression on her was now soiled.

She’s way too comfortable.

It was such a shame he couldn’t deny her gesture, the air was losing its tense feeling due to her being so bubbly, but he sure as hell wanted to be free from her grasp.
“Alright Brite, we need to go before the storm closes in.” The pink bear commented, finally somebody broke this up, Drift wasn’t sure if he could take it anymore.
Only it didn't stop, Brite was relentless with her friendly hold, "Sure Cuddle, I'll take the back with..." She paused for a second, seeming to have forgotten the poor guy's name already, "Drift!" She turned his way, showing off her pearly whites. Drift raised a brow at her, with the lower half of his face covered he figured he could give her any expression he wanted, and that he did. She basically man handled him to the damn car afterwards, disregarding the fact that she was probably choking him at this point.

'Jeezus this woman is unnecessarily strong,'

It felt like centuries before she finally let the blondie go, leaving him to sigh out loud in great relief, "..Man.." he groaned silently to himself as he hopped on the back of the ATK, grabbing ahold of the top unlike Brite who decided she'd have a little fun. Without warning the squad took off.
Wind blew in his face and the speed was exhilarating. This ride could make anybody's heart race. Drift kept his eyes forward, being so focused on holding tightly to the ATK as they drifted and flew off of the side of the hill, causing the man to grunt as they hit the ground with a loud thud. It was like being on a rollercoaster, the rush of adrenaline hitting him harder than anything else. The teen smiled wide and glanced at Brite Bomber who was next to him dancing, and it was odd he found himself amazed at how good she was at it, but this is Fortnite, everyone can dance.
        'Does that mean I can...'

Default dance.

Brite turned to him and burst out in a fit of laughter while he clapped his hands together, breaking into his dance. She executed her dance named 'True Heart' flawlessly, "Is that all you got noob?" She teased, shaking her hips and moving her arms around all in harmony, somehow even a heart of sparkles managed to fly from her hands.
It looks so much more appealing when he's actually in the game.
"What d'you mean? This is the best dance in the game." He started to do the defualt dance again, usually in normal circumstances he'd fall out of the cart, but something made him feel more balanced. As long as they didn't hit anything too rough, dancing on this thing was a piece of cake. It was odd, almost as if clapping his hands and moving his arms and legs on cue was apart of some kind of muscle memory.  Brite giggled and shook her head, joining in with the defualt dance right on time with Drift in hopes of making sure he didn't feel left out. Only thing is she was pretty sure he didn't care too much about that, everybody can do the same dance but Drift had no shame in it, that's what made her feel as if he was doing it the best. She reverted back to her True Heart dance, spinning and switching it up with 'Star Power.' This time she moved her arms more, seemingly using them to create a little circle of a rainbow shooting star around her body. "How'd you learn to do that?" He questioned her as he stopped, only able to do his dance for a short amount of time.
"I'll just have to teach you that myself." She winked and Drift scoffed,"You're lucky we're not on Earth."

"Earth?" She stopped dancing as well, this spiked her everlasting curiousity for things.
"Yeah." He turned to lean on the ATK, sighing as he reminisced. "Are you saying you're not from here?" She eyed him, he nodded.
"Hang on tight guys the storm is gaining on us!" Rex suddenly shouted and he put the pedal to the metal, drifting around to make a donut. He was trying to gain as much speed as he could in order to fly up a hill. Meanwhile Drift let his curiousity get the best of him, the sound of the storm behind them gave him chills. It was that feeling of fear again, bigger than any fear he's felt so far. It was greedy, blue and purple and it wasn't stopping. The squad sped desperately, the storm was barely touching the back of their cart and Drift wasn't ready to be consumed by the deathly cloud yet. Just it being this close made him freeze up, the wind from it just brushed the surface of his skin, lightning struck and rain poured heavily.

It was unlike any storm he's ever seen on Earth.
