Chapter 19 - angel

I spun around to the voice and nearly fainted.

"D-Dan?"

His figure stood there with sparkling brown eyes and abnormal color.

"Hey Phil, it's been a while."

"Y-you're here—"

"Yeah, I am.. I um— I needed to see you, y'know? Give you hope."

"You're all I need holy shit.", I stepped forward to touch him and he stepped forward for me to make contact.

He had the wings like in the movies.

He went from a lost ghost to a fucking bright and glowing angel.

"Phil, I heard what you said since the day I left. Every conversation. Everything."

I reached my hand up from Dan's side and placed my hand on his face.

Warm.

"Dan, I really fucking love you."

"Phil.. I—", I cut him off by pulling him closer to me and gently kissing him.

I felt it.

The rush.

The adrenaline.

The kick I needed for these past months.

"Dan."

"Phil."

"Dan I want to spend every waking moment with you, even if it means I'll also me dead, because without you— I have no meaning."

"Phil no, I can't have you leave life for m—"

"I want to."

"Phil."

"Do you not want me to be with you?"

"Phil of course but—"

"Then let me."

Dan's face nuzzled in my hand and tears clearly threatened to escape.

"I'll be right back okay?? Just need to kill—"

"Spend a day with your friends Phil. Before you end your life. Please.", I only nodded.

"Promise you'll be here?"

"I promise."
