After a few moments of simply enjoying the freedom her sore feet had received she moved to examine the hollow they had been given.
There were cots and blankets spread about on the ground with food placed on a small table, enough to feed the entire Fellowship and more.
She quickly decided to just take a blanket and sleep on the floor, leaving the cots to whoever wanted them. She removed her heavy cloak and sword along with her vest, the small bag she had stuffed into her tunic she quickly tied on a leather string and placed it around her neck.
She still hadn't looked inside but she couldn't bring herself to at this time. Perhaps later, when all was said and done.
Just as she was settling down to sleep a low melody echoed through the trees, light voices filling the once silent forest in a final lament to Gandalf. If Taranor has tried to focus in on their words she could easily understand them, but as she clutched the small bag in her hand she didn't have the heart to even try.
"A lament to Gandalf." Legolas spoke through the silence that had engulfed the group, save for Gimli's snoring. How he could fall asleep so quickly Tara could not understand.
"What do they say about him?" Merry asked curiously.
Legolas' eyes saddened as he spoke, "I have not the heart to tell you. For me the grief is still too near."
"I bet they don't mention his fireworks," Sam muttered as he busily set about laying out a blanket on the ground, "There should be a verse about them."
After a moment of silence the young hobbit stood to his feet saying, "The finest rockets ever seen; they burst in stars of blue and green! A rap of thunder; silver showers...like a rain of flowers.... Ah that doesn't do them justice." He muttered before sitting down again.
"They sound lovely, I wish I could have seen them." Taranor said, offering the Hobbit a smile, and it wasn't a lie. She had always heard of the Wizards fireworks but had never been lucky enough to see them.
The solemn silence was interrupted by the sound of footsteps nearing the large hollow.
"Lady Taranor," An Elf spoke once he came into view, "Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn wish to speak with you."
Tara glanced uncertainly at her brother and then to Aragorn who nodded slightly, telling her to go.
So Tara followed the Elf up the winding staircase again in silence, but this time she was riddled with nerves. Why would they want to speak with her? She hadn't done anything wrong in the time she had been here.
As they neared the top of the stairs the small bag began to burn against her chest causing her to shift uncomfortably.
The Elf lead her into a bright room with a balcony that overlooked the trees and forest floor below them.
"Wait here, they will be with you shortly." He said before quickly leaving her alone.
Tara made her way over to the balcony and looked over the edge with a small smile, she always loved being high up where she could see forever. But sadly the stars were shielded by the trees.
"Lady Taranor." A voice spoke from behind her causing the girl to spin around in surprise.
Only Galadriel stood behind her, bathing the room in starlight.
