Hercules kept his word

Hercules kept his word.

Soon after his departure, two wolves came to my cabin in order to inspect the damages we had done.
They were father and son, sharing the same burly built and grey eyes, but while the older man was a brunette, the younger male was a very light blonde.
They presented themselves as Owen and Bruce Bennett, Deltas and carpenters of the pack.
They didn't comment on the situation they found inside my cabin, throwing themselves into work, analyzing the shredded glass and broken wood of the windows.
After a few minutes spent talking with his son, the father, Bruce, turned towards me.

"Well Miss Crawford, these windows are broken beyond repair, so we need to build new ones."

Suddenly, I felt shameful.
Me and Hercules got too caught in our own game of pride to stop before the damage was done and now the result of our mess was to be resolved by someone else. I didn't want to burden these two males with something that could had been easily prevented.

"Unfortunately, we won't be able to do that right away. It will take us at least two days to make them, so they will be ready by Wednesday. I suggest you to speak with the Alpha or at least the Beta in order to be accommodated somewhere else for the next three nights."

Oh.

My beast perched her head up and, upon hearing those words, she began pacing back and forth. We shared the same thoughts.
She didn't like leaving our den unsupervised, especially in the hands of other wolves.
Frankly, I wasn't fond of the situation either.
On the other side, I knew that there was nothing I could do about it, so I gave them a tight smile while nodding in acceptance.

"Thank you Mr. Bennett. I will talk to them as soon as possible in order to let you work freely."

When they went away, I leaned on the door and closed my eyes. I was sure they wouldn't accomodate me in another cabin, so the most likely option was the pack house.
I took in a breath.
I had told myself to stay away from Hercules, but my plan wasn't going as smoothly as I thought and now, possibly sharing a roof with him wasn't going to help either.

What was happening to me?

Since I had become a werewolf I never doubted myself, my strength or my intentions, but now I was here, unsure, doubtful and weak.

The Silverblood pack was changing me and I didn't like it one bit.

After tending to my injuries, a quick nap and a very long hot shower, I was now headed to the pack house in order to talk to Cameron about my sleeping arrangements, having decided that approaching Hercules was absolutely out of the question. When I reached the building I could hear it buzzing with life from inside.
Breathing in and out a couple of times in order to free myself from the uneasiness the presence of so many wolves brought me, I opened the door and entered the house.
