The following morning I woke up pretty early. I was still bothered by the conversation I had with Hercules the night prior and I hadn't been able to sleep propelly during the night. So, after having spent one hour tossing and turning restlessly in bed, I decided to get up and going for a run. Tossing away the duvet I streched my arms a bit before getting up and walking to the bathroom. My reflection wasn't appealing; my hair was a nest and I had bags under my eyes. Damn Alpha, it was all his fault.

I braided my hair and walked back in the bedroom to search for my running attire. Dressed in a pair of tight shorts and a sport bra I headed for the door; the fresh smell of rain reached my nostrils and the frizzy air brought goosebumps on my skin.

I loved running in chilly mornings.

It was nearly dawn and I could sense the fauna turning to life. Birds were chirping to welcome the raise of the sun and rabbits were exiting their dens in search of food. I began stretching to wake my muscles up from their torpor and I could feel my beast stretching in response; she extended her front legs pinning on her rear paws and wiggled her tail in excitement. I started jogging lightly following the same direction I took the day before as I wanted to watch the dawn from the rock I sat upon near the small lake. Once I could sense my muscles loosen up I sprinted, pushing my legs to their maximum. My beast helped me maintaining a steady pace and in nearly 20 minutes I reached the clearing I discovered the day before.

The sun was making its appereance so I hurried to climb my rock to enjoy the sunrise. Once I was sat upon it I hold a breath at the sight in front of me. Me and my beast watched in awe as the sun began getting visible by the horizon: its rays started defeating the darkess of the night, lending the sky breathtaking shades of pink and orange. The water of the lake was reflecting the colors of the sky, like brush strokes were painted on it, and I imprinted this image in my mind. It was one of the most beautiful dawns I had ever seen.

"Beautiful, isn't it?"

A deep voice interrupted the silence of the morning, breaking me out from the spell the amazing view casted upon me. I closed my eyes in irritation, why did he have to ruin this place for me?

"Indeed it is." I answered him, reopening my eyes and fixating my gaze on the water once again.

"I don't want to sound rude, but that is my rock you are sitting upon."

I scoffed. That arrogant. I turned to tell him to leave me alone when the sight in front of me shut me up. He was standing at the bottom of the rock, shirtless, with his legs clad in a pair of running tracks. Oh God. That piece of irritating wolf was shirtless in front of me. His torso was covered in sweat, probably coming from a run, and the slight layer of sweat on his skin was making the outlines of his chiselled abs and pecs stand out even more. His dark hair were unrulier than the previous night and few strands were glued to his forehead. I had to give it to him, he was a fine ass specimen. Goddess, why didn't you pair me up with an ugly, old he-wolf instead of this god?
