"How are so dumb?" Nasiba commented immediately after Mustapha left the library.
Lami frowned, she wanted to sympathize with Nasiba for no longer having a friend to hang out with but Nasiba was just so rude to make it possible.
She also refused to find a friend to hang out and she followed Lami around like how a duckling followed it's mother, then make it look like she was doing Lami a favor. Lami who was alone from the start.
Lami wouldn't mind it but again, Nasiba was really rude.
"Well you're not the one teaching me!" Lami frowned, knowing that Nasiba was also saying the truth about her being dumb.
"Talk back again and I'll remove your tongue." Nasiba whispered because Mustapha came back.
"Here,I borrowed an eraser from the head girl. We can use it for today." He said as he erased the mistakes Lami made.
Lami sighed as she saw him erase almost everything on the page.

Nasiba snatched Lami's maths homework from her hand. She scanned the book, looked up and saw Lami scowling."You have a few mistakes here. Ya Musty also said I should be checking your homework for you. He'll be too busy preparing for common entrance." Nasiba said putting Lami's book down on her desk and bringing out a pencil.
"You could've just asked for the book like a normal person." Lami shot back. She was also amazed by how much she changed when talking to Nasiba. It took her less than a week to start retaliating back to Nasiba when she insulted her.
"Funny coming from you. You're the definition of abnormal." Nasiba scoffed at her, moving to the front row where the assignments was being submitted.
Lami would've thought that she would be killed by Nasiba when she talked back. But there they were, Nasiba looking like she wasn't even insulted at all.
"Do you know the flowers in the garden have bloomed?" Nasiba asked as she came back from submitting the assignment.
"Who even goes into garden anymore? I thought the primary four students planted beans and Mademoiselle said we shouldn't go in until they're harvested." Lami quickly cancelled the wrong answers with the help of Nasiba and sloppily scribbled the right answers by the side.
"I'm only seeing 15 books here. Where are the rest?" Mallam Shamsu waved the books in the air with one hand and the other on his hips.
Lami quickly, yet awkwardly rushed to submit her book before he walks out to the staff room, he deducts marks to anyone who submits later.
She came back to her seat to find Nasiba still there. "So," Nasiba suggested, "let's go and see it."
"We'll get in trouble."
"They'll have to see us first!" She replied with a glint in her eyes.
"This is coming from the girl who was calling me abnormal moments ago." Lami replied taking out a her English textbook from her bag.
