Honey colored eyes watched the movements of the birds in air. She tried to follow their movements with her eyes, but the sun shone brightly, slightly blinding her.
Her gaze fell back to the moving road, she saw kids laughing and running. Adults, buying and selling.
Swish swoosh.
She was flying like those birds, she'd flap her hands like the birds with their wings and she'll soar high, high in the sky.
"-ould you want?"
She'd fly up,up to the sky until she reaches the moon. But the moon will be so cold. Maybe she'll get closer to the sun. Not too close to burn, but enough to feel the warmth. Like someone breathing into your soul. Can someone breathe into your soul? Well whatever, it'll be like warping yourself in your blanket and drinking hot Milo.
"Sameera!"
Sameera jolt up,she looked forward to the drivers seat.
"Yeah?" She said meekly.
Her mother adjusted to mirror so she could see her. Sameera could see her eyebrows knitted in annoyance.
"Listen to me when I'm talking to you!" Her mother said in a strict tone.
Sameera turned around to see her sister smiling and looking too amused by the interaction.
"Yes Maama," Sameera replied, hiding her face when Huda, her sister snickered.
"I was saying, what else would you want?" Her mother asked, looking forward.
"The shoes will be enough," Sameera replied.
Her mother just hummed. "If that's it,then I'll stop by to buy some seasonings in the market," she said.
Her mother drove to the market and muttered 'I'll be back.' But not before glaring at Huda, like she wanted to say something, but decided against it.
