Nico POV

I was fourteen at the time. Three days have passed since the second Great Prophecy took place. I was thinking of what to do next when I woke up...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wow, what a sunny morning. I got up from a long nap, and realized I was in my father's palace.

"What's this?" I wondered aloud. It was very strange. I felt a surge of power around me. My father immediately appeared along with Persephone. Ughh... She had to be here. First, she turned me into a dandelion. Then, she tried to convince my father to disown me a million times. After that, she sent me, Percy, and Thalia on a mission, expecting me to immediately forgive her.

"Good morning, son." Hades said. "I see that you've discovered that you have become a god. You have met my expectations, perceiving everything. You inherited most of my good traits."

"What?!" I exclaimed. "How?!"

"Well," Hades started, "Let's just say you've gained my honor twice. One after the war against Kronos. The other after the war with Gaea. So, I made you lose consciousness. Overnight, I worked on you transformation to godhood. Your life string is no longer under the influence of the three Fates. Your string is now gold. You are now the god of dawn, shadows, and the dead."

"No!" I shouted. "Turn me back! What about my friends?!" I stomped off crying. How could he do this to me? I decided to talk to Bianca.

I went into my room and summoned Bianca's spirit. I was hopelessly mad and needed someone to calm me down. I guess I had inherited most of my dad's traits after all.

"Hello, Nico." My sister greeted.

"Bianca," I sobbed, "Why?"

"Why what?"

"They turned me into a GOD. Why?!"

"Nico. I know you aren't accustomed to changes. But you still have your friends and your life, well, that is now never-ending."

"No." I muttered. "They already think I'm a freak. Now, since I'm a god, they will see me as a threat and kick me out of camp." I was seconds from breaking down.

"Nico, trust them. They wanted to be your friends and still do, but you kept pushing yourself away from them just because you are a son of Hades. Talk to them, please. Do it for me, okay?"

I sighed. "Okay, I'll try. Thanks." Bianca's spirit then faded away.
