Chapter 21

2 weeks later...

Jessie stay with him while waiting for his lawyer to come, He got a news that his lawyer is currently in the country.

He felt a little bit headache because he got too much drunk from last night and as far as he can remember his girlfriend was here last night playing with Ellaine so he get down the stairs to shower them both with kisses.

But unexpectedly, It's Jessie he saw, giving food to their daughter.

"Where's Jackie?!" He asked and she look at him, He's just wearing boxer because he knew Jackie is here.

"Jackie?" She asked him back.

"Was she here last night right? She left?" He asked her directly doesn't matter what she would feel because he knew this woman would never care at all.

"I don't know." She said and feed the kid without even looking back at him.

He went back up to get his clothes.

"I... I will leave." Jessie said when he get down. He just sat on the empty chair and started to dig up the food in front of him.

"I might go back to L.A for a while. We'r--"

"Just go! You don't have to tell me." He said in a cold way.

Yes! That how he treated her now, since the day she got drunk he became cold than he ever did. He forgot that woman she used to be, for him she changed a lot, and she changed in a worst way. He can't even recognize her whenever she get drunk and throwing things keep saying those lines she said the last time.

"Anyway, Mr. Smith will be here today. Maybe you could wait up for him a little longer before you go." He said. For that time being he saw how she get froze in that moment.

"Could you move? I have to leave early." She said. Referring to their meeting with his lawyer.

"Nope, wait for 1 or 2 hours maybe." He said still eating the food.

"No, I cannot wait for him." She said and was about to get up.

"Are you avoiding it? You promised the last time you'll give what I'm asking for once my lawyer ask you too." He said but Jess didn't respond.
He slammed the spoon on the table. Which it shocked both of his daughter and wife.... Soon to be ex-wife.

"I'm sorry, Dan. I'm not ready for this. Please let's stay like this." She begged.. What the eff! She's talking about being together??? He smirk thinking about it.

"You promised!" He said controlling his temper.

"I wanna break it." She said

"Or you want me to break you too?!" He almost yelled at her. She didn't respond instead she get up and was about to walk away again but he grabbed her wrist and sat her down forcefully.

"Let me go!" She said and on her second attempt to escape, she failed again.

"If you won't, I'll be your worse nightmare!!" He said. That's the moment when she started to shred tear silently.

She doesn't want to do this, she just want to leave and doesn't want to become his ex-wife. There is no way! She thought she was ready to let him go but she can't! She was drunk at that time and lost all the reason of fighting for, She still love him and don't want to lose him, even doesn't want him to be married with someone else.

Because that's what gonna happen once she agree to divorce him.

She want to get up and lock herself but she's cornered by him. She did nothing but cry silently there, in front of him, In front of their daughter.

Until Dan grabbed her wrist again, from that moment she can feel the pain in his grasp, she once remember the moment when she was with Jack. It was started like this. She close her eyes until she felt herself fall off the chair.

"You'll never see us! Leave and you can't come back!!" Danny said and get their daughter from the high chair and get the key. She was left there drowning by her own tears.

Suddenly she felt something in her heart. She find it hard to breathe. She tried to get up and drink a water.

Four weeks later...

Danny didn't come back home for a month now and she didn't leave too the day he left with their daughter, She was hoping for them to return home, She was hoping for him to come back and tell her that he'll stay with her.

But now she's sitting on her bed alone at their bedroom packing her things, she finally decided to leave this country, she made a hard decision and leave everything behind.

Maybe she'll just move on from them, maybe, it'll be a best way to get moving on, though it would be hard because of her daughter, she loves her too much, but she found out where they are living right now.

Elaine, her daughter is living happily with her father together with her father's Girlfriend and she couldn't take it anymore.

She can't even have a chance to see her and spend time with her because Danny doesn't pick up the phone whenever she call.

She found out everything from Glen, earlier before packing up her things she asked Glen if where they are, she was told that they are currently at her mother in law's.

Her phone rang and she picked it up...

"Hello, Mrs. O'Donoghue. I am currently outside the house." The voice from the other line said..

She get out the house instead of answering the person on the other line.

She let him in and make a coffee for him and they sat on the couch and he started the conversation.

"Are you really sure you'll agreeing to this?" She nod as she is signing the paper.

"I have to do it now. But I won't attend for the hearing and I am sorry for that. But tell him to sell this house if he want to." She said, she put down the pen next to the papershe just signed while looking at her signature.

"It's okay Mrs.... Ms.. I'll let him know." She hand him the folder and shake hands with him.

"Thank you Mr. Smith!" She said.

She signed the divorce paper, Finally! She made the big decision she'll regret her whole life, but it's time to let go and she won't come back again.

She's just hoping she won't see him again, that she won't cross path with him again, she doesn't want to see him anymore.  It's sad but she'll leave her daughter to him.

Ellaine never knew her as a mother and that's not her daughter's fault, It's all her fault because of her shortcomings. that's why even if it's too hard as long as she know where they can be happy and who they can be happy with, she'll let both of them free. Free from her. It's not right but that's the only thing she has to do. She has to sacrifice her own happiness for them to be happy.

Danny has no idea that she is contacting with Mr.Smith about this, she got his number from Glen, she asked him a favor to sneak at Danny's contact list and he succeed.

She succeed too by making it secretly from him, she talk to Mr. Smith without Dan's knowledge.

He'll know it soon though, maybe later or tomorrow.

Mr. Smith leave the house and the moment he left, she left too without turning back. She doesn't want to look back at those memories she had with him, she want to move on and forget that she was once married with him, it might be weird to hear too but she also want to forget that she has a kid with him.

That's how her love story with Danny ended!

She was too happy but someone came to destroy everything.. She pretended to be okay, though she was never okay until it ended tragically....
