Recap

He bids a 'bye' to Edwin, and pulls my hand again as basically dash into the elevator. "Any reason why you're so excited?" I laugh.

Nick smiles sheepishly. "I owe you an explanation, and that's what you're getting."

He pushes a button, lighting up the number one. "But not on an empty stomach."

Nick and I ended up at a local diner not far from the hotel.

We get situated in a booth. The waiter placing our menus down showcasing the big logo of Christie's Pancake House printed largely across the cover.

"Hi my names Daniel I'll be your sever today, can I start you off with some drinks?" He asks, clicking open his pen.

Nick looks up, already knowing what to order. "I'll just have a glass of water, thanks"

Daniel turns to me, and I quickly glance at the menu. "Um, I'll have an orange juice please." I smile.

He nods writing it down. "Sounds good, I'll be back shortly with your drinks." Daniel walks off and I turn to a grinning Nick.

"What?" I ask him, he just shakes his head shrugging.

"Nothing, besides the fact apple juice taste better." He says, a tiny laugh escaping.

I gasp. "It does not! Orange juice is the superior drink, you can't change my mind."

He raises his hands in the air. "Aye, not saying I have a problem with it, but last I checked orange juice is the one that taste like crap after brushing your teeth."

I laugh at his remark. "Alright fine you have a point there, but aside from that it taste better."

He grins looking down at the menu, and I decide to do the same.

The sounds of cups being placed down upon the table causes me to look up, and I see the bright colored juice sitting across me.

"Here you both are." Daniel says, placing down two straws. " Now are you both ready to order, or do you need more time?"

"Yeah, if we could have a few more minutes that would be great." Nick says, eyes setting onto Daniels.

Daniel waves a hand. "Not a problem, I'll be back soon."

I continue to look through the menu, and I decide that I should go for actual food compared to something sweet.

"What are you getting Mara?" I say, peeking up from the menu,

Nick hesitates. "Uh, I'm not sure. I think I'm going to get a Denver Omelet, and some hash browns." He nods to himself, almost agreeing that would be his order. "You?" He asks.

"Last time we went out to eat I got crepes, so I think I'm going to go with their Cali Avocado Skillet." I tell him, closing my menu him doing the same.

A few seconds later Daniel returns, and I keep in mind to leave him a good tip.

"Do you two still need more time?" He asks.
