Recap

I turn to face him with a smirk. "I'm sorry did you say something Ed?" I ask—though I already knew.

He gives me a large smile. "Nothing being said over here." I laugh, but it comes to a halt at the sinking cushion next to me.

I direct my gaze forward looking at Nick, but my peripheral vision remains on a quiet Zion.

Today was going to be a long day.

After the show we decided to go out and eat nearby—we ended up choosing a place called "The Orchid" Austin and his family loved to go to.

"Hello I'm Amy, I'll be your server tonight. I'm guessing you're the table for nine correct?" She asks sweetly with a smile. If I had to guess I'd say she was in her early twenties, but I could be wrong. "Yes that's us." Tina says with a slight laugh.

Tina gestures towards us. "We wanted to reserve since we're a larger group." She tells Amy who smiles understandably "Of course, follow me."

Amy ushers us to a larger table already decorated with utensils that's placed more towards the middle of the restaurant "Hopefully this table is alright for y'all?" She asks to no one in particular.

Mrs. Porter smiles. "It's perfect, thank you honey." Amy smiles back. "Glad to hear, I'll be back shortly to take your drinks." With that she parts us a smile and disappears back into the kitchen.

"Dibs on sitting next to Nessa!" Edwin shouts making us all jump.

He blushes. "Sorry, I just uh-want to sit next to her." With a laugh we shake it off. "Okay you weirdo." I tease sitting in one of the chairs—Edwin sits to the left of me.

"So any reason you wanted to sit by me?" I ask with a raised brow.

Edwin scoffs. "Can I not sit by you without a reason?"I shake my head. "Nope."

He rolls his eyes. "Fine I wanted to talk about Zi—" Edwin's eyes dart to the right making me turn my head to see Zion's tall figure sit down.

I hear Edwin mumble something under his breath, but can't hear it over the multiple chatter in the restaurant.

I decide not to comment on Zion's seating placement and turn back to Edwin. "You were saying?" I ask urging his to continue.

He leans closer to me before talking. "I said I want to talk about Zion." I give Ed a look. "Why?"

Edwin groans. "Because you guys haven't talked in who knows how long, the vibes are weird and I don't like that." He shrugs eyes scanning the menu.

Noticing I haven't even touched it yet either, I pick mine up as well. "Well I tried to, the reason why we can't is due to him." I say monotony, my eyes searching through the menu in the process.

With a sigh he turns his full attention to mine. "Look I know about everything Nessa, he told me—don't be mad I figured out everything a while back." He pauses. "Well his feelings I mean." Edwin explains.

I stare back putting my full attention on him. "Wait he told you everything?" He nods with a shrug. "He needed someone to talk to, but lately he hasn't told me anything." Edwin says his tone holding concern.
