After taking a long, hot shower I threw on pajamas.

Before going down stairs to Carder and the two guests. I leaned against the living rooms doorframe with my arms crossed, watching the three laugh. "Are you staying over?" My eyes were directed at Kenneth and Emily as all three of them turned.
"They are." Carder said, raising an eyebrow in question. "Where are they sleeping? We only have one guest room." I tilted my head, letting it lean on the doorframe. "Kenneth and I can share a room. It's no big deal." Emily piped up, giving me a big smile. Carder seemed hesitant but nodded.
I, myself nodded and left it at that. "Um...Kenneth can I have a word with you?" Kenneth's eyes widened slightly but he politely nodded and stood up. Emily watched as Kenneth walked towards me. She then got up seeing Carders stressed expression.
"Can I come?" Emily said, offering Carder a reassuring smile. "Sure." I mumbled before walking to the kitchen. I felt the cold tiles under my feet as we walked inside the kitchen. "Is something the matter?" Kenneth asked, not looking as nervous as before.
I nodded and jumped up onto the counter so I was sitting down on it. "I followed you the other day into Billies Gal Bar..." I said softly watching his expression. At first his eyes widened then he looked to the floor. "Oh...you did?" I nodded even though he couldn't see. "I'm really sorry about that..that's actually how I met Emily." Kenneth looked at Emily, Emily giving him a nervous smile.
He sighed then ran his hands in his dirty blonde hair. "Did you tell any of this to Carder?" I shook my head making him look a little relieved. "I was hoping you'd tell him yourself." I said bluntly, staring into his eyes when he finally faced me. I watched his Adam's apple go up and down as he gulped.
"It's not that simple." I nodded slowly, trying to consider being in his shoes. "It isn't but if you are really his friend then you can't lie to him." I jumped down from the counter and dusted off my pajama shorts. "Good night you two." I smiled softly at Kenneth and Emily before walking out the kitchen.
As I passed the living room door I noticed Carder anxiously waiting for us. I smiled with a sigh before going up the stairs and into my room where I would hibernate for the night.
