CHAPTER 56

I woke up in the middle of the night, not knowing why. I sighed as I sat up in bed. I ran a hand through my hair and wiped the sleep from my eyes. I looked around my pitch black room and made a face. I wondered what happened with Carder and them after I went to sleep?

I threw off the blankets and stepped onto the cold floor boards before walking out my bedroom and into the quiet hallway. The whole house was dark. I navigated my way down the stairs without breaking my neck thankfully. I walked into the living room and switched the lamb besides the couch on.

I grabbed the remote and switched on the tv before flipping through the channels. I found a movie that seemed interesting and left it at that. I leaned back sinking into the couch. I still wanted to know whether Kenneth had spoken to Carter. I bit my lip and shook my head, I shouldn't be concerned with that because it's not entirely my business.

I looked around and spotted my phone on the table. "What luck." I muttered under my breath, grabbing my phone. I punched in my password and went into Riders contact:

Ash:
Hey Riderrrrrrr!!!!
You up?
I can't sleep

I waited a while before I finally got a reply.

Rider:
Ash Heron! Do you have any idea what time it is?

I giggled and looked to the time on my phone. 2:30 a.m.
It was quite late.

Ash:
Sorry. But now that you're up it's fine to talk?

Rider:
Yeah; what's up?

Ash:
I had a talk with Kenneth and I was wondering if he told my brother about him..

Rider:
Hmm, why are you worrying so much about it?

I bit my lip and stared at the text. Why was I worrying about this so much? It's between Carder and Kenneth but...

Ash:
I just get this feeling in my stomach

Rider:
😂

Ash:
! Don't laugh!

Rider:
Sorry love. You're worrying too much, let them handle it.

I sighed nodding to myself.

Ash:
You're right, well thanks Rider ❤️

Rider:
❤️ Good night

I switched off my phone and looked back at the screen. Maybe I was worrying to much about it... I groaned standing up and switched the tv off. "Might as well try to sleep." I mumbled switching off the lamp and going up stairs again.

I stopped hearing movement from Carders room. I froze and looked towards his door. I walked silently to his door and put my ear to the door. I heard some mumbling and movement in the room.

What the...?
