C H A P T E R 36
I stood dumbfounded for a moment, trying to process what my father had just said. "WHAT!?" The three of us didn't see this coming, not at all. My father sighed looking down at his steaming coffee. "I'm sorry Ash but I got a job in Manchester." I felt my right eye twitch as I backed up.
"You can go. I'm old enough to stay in a house by myself." My voice shook making tears glisten across my eyes. "I really am sorry Ash...but you can't stay here by yourself." My mother's soothing voice did nothing to try keep me calm.
"Then I'll just stay with Carder. He's done with school." I squicked hugging myself. Carder brightened and nodded quickly. "The three of us can stay here while you guys head to Manchester." Carder explained panicky and quickly, trying to force the idea. My father and mother glazed at each other,
"We'll think bout it."
