Peter went to school feeling sad the next day. Why would people hate his dads? What happened to his mom? Was it bad that he had a crush on a boy at school? These were questions no ten year old boy should have to ask himself. He was sitting with Ned at lunch when he asked, "Ned, would you hate me if I liked a boy?"

Ned was confused by the question. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, if I had a crush on a boy would you still be my friend?"

"Well, mom and dad say boys who like boys are bad people, and that I have to stay away from them. You don't like a boy, do you?" Peter anxiously fidgeted his thumbs. "Oh, no. I was just wondering." But Peter couldn't get Wade Wilson off his mind.

...

"Steve, you need to pick up Peter from school!" Tony said, pulling his husband off the couch. "Why does it always have to be me?" he pouted. "Steve, we talked about this. If I go, people will ask questions. According to the school, I don't even exist. So get your lazy ass up." Steve rolled his eyes and walked out the door. When he arrived at Peter's school he saw him outside talking to another boy. "Pete!" Peter said gave the boy and hug goodbye and ran up to Steve. "Hi, Pops!"

"Who was that boy you were playing with?"

"Oh, that was Wade. He's my friend!"

"You two seem very close." Peter nervously looked at the ground. "Is there something you wanna tell me Peter?" Peter shook his head. "Alright then, let's head home." Peter didn't talk much on their walk home. It was almost like he was daydreaming, stuck in another world. When they got home Peter ran straight for his room. "What's going on with him?" Tony asked.

"I'm not sure. I saw him hugging another boy at school today. When I asked him about it he got all quiet."

"You don't think he likes him do you?"

"I don't know. It's a possibility." Tony sat down on the couch in frustration. "Oh, great. This is just what we need right now."
