Kidoh
Another Sunday has finally come. That means I get to see her. Even though technically she's with Yano now. It doesn't mean I give up on Sung-Jung though. It just means I have to prove to her that I'll be better to her than that stupid maknae would be.
I waited patiently outside Sung-Jung and Min-Hee's bedroom door. The girls kindly let me in. Although Min-Hee was a bit reluctant due to the fact that I beat the hell out of her younger brother. She didn't make me fight with her for too long though. Nakta was calling her.
That was at ten o'clock though. It's reaching around twelve already and she's not awake yet. Then a thought popped into my head. I stood up and made my way towards the kitchen.
When I opened the fridge, I was welcomed to the world of pink goop in water bottles. I took one out and opened it up. Before tasting it, I sniffed the bottle. It smelled like bar soap. I put the water bottle back.
After making sure she wasn't awake yet, I ran over to my dorm. Hojoon, Seogoong, and Sara-Jo were the only ones still in the building other than Sung-Jung and I. Everyone else had left. I guess if I make lunch, I should offer it to everyone. Then again, if I did that, it wouldn't mean as much to Sung-Jung.
I made her some pancakes because I remembered that she really liked those. I'm surprised we had the ingredients to make them in the dorm. I poured a glass of milk for her and carried the meal over to her dorm.
Once I placed the meal onto the counter in the kitchen, I heard the slam of a door. That means Sung-Jung is awake! There was another door slam. Suddenly I heard the sound of somebody throwing their guts into the toilet.
I ran as fast as my feet could take me to the bathroom. There on the floor was Sung-Jung, hovering over the toilet. I rushed over to her and held back her hair. "Are you alright?" I asked her. She wiped her mouth and sat back so she was leaning against my legs. Sung-Jung shook her head. "Everyone has been getting sick this past week. The pink goop was alright to drink for the first two weeks we had it, but this time it's different. I'm not the only one getting sick." She closed her eyes and sighed. "Thank you, Kidoh." I smiled and patted her head. "No problem."
We walked back out to the living room. I sat her down on the couch and excitedly brought her the food I made for her. "I made this specially for you. I hope you like it." Her eyes lit up when she saw the pancakes in her lap. She looked up at me with an admirable expression on her face. "Thank you." I nodded my head. "Of course."
Sung-Jung ate happily. When she finished, she smiled at me gratefully. "That's the first meal I've had in three weeks since I started my diet." I took the plate from her and walked over to the kitchen. I washed the dishes quickly and set them on the counter for me to take back to my dorm.
"Kidoh, is everything okay with Yano?" Sung-Jung's voice sounded full of worry. Hearing her like that, made me worry. "Everything's fine. Why do you ask?" I walked back over to the couch and say down with her. She sighed next to me. "Well, he keeps telling me that he's too busy to hang out with me on Sundays. I haven't seen him in the past three weeks. I miss him." My shoulders dropped at her words. I ota her head lightly. "Of course you miss him." I sighed. "Do you want to hang out with me today? I can take you out to go shopping or something." I suggested to her hopefully. Sung-Jung pouted and shook her head. "I'm still not feeling well. I'd rather stay here and rest." I smiled with a pinch of pity showing on my face.
We sat there for a few moments. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply. Soon enough, Sung-Jung fell asleep. I reached forward to the remote. I might as well watch some t.v. If I left her alone, she might wake up scared or worried.
Before I could touch the remote, Sung-Jung reached her arm out and held my wrist. "I was about to let my head fall onto your shoulder. If you turn that on, you'll ruin the moment." I held my breath for a few seconds. She really just said that, right? I sat back comfortably onto the couch.
Surprisingly, Sung-Jung snuggled herself up to me and rested her head on my shoulder. "Yano and I broke up last week over the phone. He told me he liked another girl." I didn't know what to say. Is she upset? Should I comfort her? What do I say to comfort her? I felt so clueless. So I simply started to play with her long hair. I tugged and pulled on it gently. It felt good to be able to do that.
I stopped playing with her hair when she spoke up again. "I'm really sorry for how I treated you, Kidoh." She sat up straight and looked me in the eyes. "I did like you, I really did. It's just . . . I don't know. I just felt something even stronger towards Yano, and," she stopped talking and looked at the ground. Sung-Jung's eyes were watering up.
I lifted her head and forced her to look me in the eyes. "He broke your heart, didn't he?" A single tear fell down her cheek. She nodded her head. I took my chance and wrapped my arms around her. We sat like that for a few minutes in silence.
I sighed and closed my eyes. This is it, the moment I've been waiting for. I let go of her. She looked up at me with her puffy, red face. I cupped her cheek with my hand. "Will you let me patch your heart up for you?" My gut just fell to the first floor lobby of this building. That was so stupid to say, so cheesy. Why did I say that?
She covered my hand with hers and smiled. "I would like that." My heart began to feel warm and fuzzy. Does this mean she's accepting me? Is she finally accepting me?
Sung-Jung leaned in and kissed my cheek. It felt soft and sweet. I absolutely loved it. My eyes bulged. I didn't know what to do.
