Cam, Taylor, Jacob and I are walking across the parking lot, and Danny comes up to us.

"Uhh, Hey guys! Where r u going?"

"Ohh, we were just going to get ice cream down the street." Taylor explains.

"Ohh... well call me if anything happens."

"Okay." Jacob says.

"I'm sure if anything happens, I'd be the first one to take care of it." I mumble under my breath.

"What was that?" Jacob asks me. I glance over to my left, and catch Cam slightly chuckling. He must've heard what I said.

"What? Ohh nothing..." I say, elbowing Cam in the ribs to get him to stop laughing.

"Ohh... okay." Danny says. "Have fun, and be back soon!"

"Kay!" I yell from the other side of the parking lot, since I took off running. Once the boys notice I'm far ahead, they sprint to catch up.

Once they are all caught up, I ask,

"Soo... umm, do any of you actually know where an ice cream place is?"

"Yeah, there actually is one down the street I went to when I was little." Cam replied.

"okay good." I say chuckling.

We walk down a street, passing a stand which is grilling burgers. I smell the air, which smells like cookout.

In the distance I see a little sign that I can barely read. It says 'Hokey Pokey Ice Cream Parlor'

I start sprinting down the street. The boys trailing behind me. I trip on an uneven sidewalk slab, and dive for the ground. I squeeze my eyes shut, but then I feel 2 hands grab my waist, and pull me back up.

"Whew." I say catching my breath.

"Did you have a nice trip?" Taylors voice says in my ear.

"Yeah. It was great." I say turning around laughing. "Thanks for that."

"No problem, clutz." Taylor says.

Jacob and Cam are now standing behind Taylor. I look at each of them, and Jacob is laughing, but Cam looks jealous?

"Well... let's get some ice cream!" I say turning around, and carefully fast walking into the shoppe.

I walk in, and I can tell you right at first sight that this place is old. It has that 80s retro black and white tile, and the man at the counter is wearing a black apron, and one of those unnecessary hats. I walk up to the counter, and look at the very diverse selection of ice cream flavors they have. I decide on a double scoop of Mint Chocolate Chip.

"$ 3.50" the man at the counter says to me. I pull out a 5 from my wallet, but Cam has already given him the money.

"And here's your change." He says handing Cam the change.

"You don't have to pay for me!" I say.

"You're right. I don't have to, but I want to." He says.

"Here." I say pulling out my wallet.

"Nope," He says refusing the money. "Just go sit down." He says.

I decide it's better not to argue, and go sit in a booth.

Soon the boys come with their ice cream. Cam has Cookie Dough, Taylor has Double Fudge, and Jacob has Chocolate Chip. Cam sits first, taking a seat next to me, and Taylor and Jacob scoot in across from us.

"So? How are you liking Cali so far?" Cam asks me.

"It's soo much better than North Carolina." I say licking my ice cream. I feel a drop of ice cream run down my chin, and Jacob starts laughing.
