I kept walking towards the beach, while thoughts swirled around my brain, until I became dizzy.
Do they really think I'm good? Of course not, they probably just saying that so I don't feel bad about myself. Or do they really mean it? They don't, I mean, why would they? I'm only an amateur, they probably think its some kind of joke. But why would Aaron consider calling Bart, if he didn't really think it's good? And the way Shawn reacted, it seemed pretty real...
I snapped out of my train of thought when my feet hit sand. I came to my senses, and realized I had arrived at the beach, I was panting, so I must've ran. I heard footsteps behind me, so I ran to our umbrella we set up, took off my shirt and shorts, throwing them into my bag, which is still sitting there, and sprinted into the ocean.
Maybe I'll stop overthinking if I preoccupy myself with swimming. I was about waist deep in the water, when I looked back at the shore where our bags sat, and I saw the boys take off their shirt, and run towards me in the water. I turned back around, and kept venturing out farther into the ocean. I dipped my head under, and shivered once the coldness of the water hit my face. I came up for air, and the boys were spread out along the coast looking for me. Johnson spotted me, and pointed me out to the others, who were now running into the ocean towards me.
The boys were now all about waist deep, except for Hayes who was complaining about how cold the water is.
I ducked my head under water, and swam, to my right. I knocked into someones feet, and accidentally grabbed on to, whoever it was's ankle.
"Ahhhhhhh!" Someone's high pitch scream fills the air. It was so loud I could hear it clearly under water. "IT'S GOT ME! SOMETHING'S GOT ME!" He says kicking his ankle around, causing me to let go. I can't help but laugh. I run out of air, and come up laughing. I wipe the water out of my eyes, and see Hayes still freaking out. All the other guys are laughing. Hayes looks at me, his hand over his racing heart.
"WHAT THE HECK!" Hayes says, and hitting me in the back of the head. I just reply with more laughter bubbling out of my mouth.
Most of the boys are over here by us now.
"What's wrong Hayeseypoo? Has some "sea monster" have your foot?" Gilinsky teases, laughing.
"Shut up." He says crossing his arms.
"Just remember next time your in the ocean, that fish, or whatever you thought it was, don't have hands to grab you." I say still chuckling a little. "If anything, it'll just bite." I say causing him to shudder.
I slip away, while the other guys were teasing Nash, and walk out of the ocean, and grab a towel, bringing it over my shoulders. I walk along the shore. I'm watching the birds fly freely in the sky, just thinking about anything besides my singing, when I am interrupted.
"Sooo?" Someones voice is heard behind me.
I tense up, and turn around, to see that it's just Nash.
"Ohh, it's just you." I say relaxing my body.
"Yeah, I wanted to talk to you about something." He says. I shrug.
"If it's about-" I get cut off.
"I just want to know why your afraid-"
"I'm not afraid, it's just..." I say defensively. "I don't know, I always felt like I wasn't good enough. That's why I did it at night, and never really told anyone about the channel, which reminds me... How do you know my channel?"
"Lucky guess..." I don't even believe that for a second. I stare at him with my eyebrows raised. "Okay, you said that none of your social media accounts have any connection to the last name 'Grier', so I figured you would use your middle name, which you usually do, like your instagram- that is... before you just recently changed it. Why, I don't know..."
