Short update. Sorry it took so long. August has been hell, literally. I had tons of school work. And we had a field trip yesterday. And also, my birthday is coming up this Saturday. lol sorry for mentioning

The serene and calming quietness actually relaxed me, but as to the advantage it brought; it also made me feel a pang of guilt. Welp, that's what I get for being.. I don't know, really. And if I'm not mistaken, it is not my fault I feel this way; It was his.

Perhaps this is the punishment for not being such a goody-two shoes all the time. Just as when I was about to drown in my own deep thoughts, A song started playing in the car, which led everyone to start singing along. (Fancy by Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX)

"McDonald's" I mumbled, When the car stopped in front of McDonald's. No one dared speak, considering none of us had brush our teeth since this morning, let alone take a bath. "Calum, you go" Michael said, pushing Calum to the door, and with that he let out a childish whine. "I don't want to! I smell bad"

"That's okay. You always do" Michael mocked. And I couldn't help but laugh at his petty joke. He was lying though, because Calum smells good, and he knows it. That sounded weird.

"Luke, you go" Mike brought forth.

"Michael, you go" Luke retorted, earning a fit of laughter from everyone else.

And with that, we all went on going round and round on who's going to buy our food. Until I dared speak  "For Pete's sake. I'll go"

"I'll go with you" Luke and Cal said accidentally at the same time. I was surprised to hear that from both of them. And by the looks of it, they themselves were also stunned to have said the exact same. Luke and Calum exchanged looks, and everything went a little awkward.

I was waiting for someone to say jinx or something like that, but none came and it felt like a decade before the awkward quietness went away. I head outside the car, and Calum followed, leaving Luke behind; looking like he just lost. I swear I could hear him sigh up to Jupiter. While Calum had a look of victory in his pretty face.

"I thought you didn't want to go?" I raised an eyebrow at Calum, who's smiling like a total dork beside me.

"Changed my mind" he grins. Okay? He immediately wore his snapback and covered it with the hoodie from his jacket, before we arrive at the door frame of McDonald's, y'know he wouldn't want to get mobbed while looking like shit. "Ah, I love Macca's" He said and the smell of food was quick to greet us hello.

"What do you want?"

"You" He mumbled. "What do you want?" He retorted

And I swear I saw him face palming, and I think that was very cute, is that too observant of me? I'm not naïve. I can tell what Calum was up to, and I like him too, but now's not the time for our teenage hormones to jumble all together because ... because well, it's fucking complicated.

If you know what complicated means. then yeah, it is.

"So, how's Asia?" Calum suddenly asks, making my head shot up. I haven't phoned her in days, I hope she's okay. And touched that Cal's being so nice, and making our little conversation more less awkward.

"Uh, I don't know. I haven't talked to her for days" I answer. And just when Calum was about to open his mouth to speak, an employee greeted him hello, and took our order.

"Fourteen cheese burgers, seven cokes, and a happy meal" Calum smiled.

That's a lot of food.

"And some fries.. large" He added with a smile. He grabbed our order and headed for the exit "Leggo" he said.

But before we exit McDonald's, I felt the urge to relieve myself. That sounded awkward.

"Hey.. you okay?" He stopped walking when he saw me stopped.

"I gotta use the restroom"

"Uh, okay? want me to come with you? you know for.. help?" He asked. I know he was having a hard time keeping a straight face, and was to break any second now... and he did.

"Okay. Funny" I deadpanned.

"I'll wait for you outside"

"Kay" I reply and headed to the restroom.

"Where's Calum?" I mumbled, when I got out of the restroom, I immediately looked for him but he was no where in sight.

"Oh sorry! Didn't see you there" a guy said when he bumped next to me. It didn't hurt but he kept apologizing.

"It's fine really" I said. And by now this boy in front of me is smiling like a crazy person.

"Uh, sorry. I didn't get your name" He said. Doing something with his brows. I know where this conversation is headed, and I'm not liking it.

"I um.. I" I stammered,

"Anna!" Calum's voice boomed from where I am, and I quickly turned my head to see him with a girl, probably a fan.

"gotta go" I continued what I was saying,. I left him there, and I swear I saw him smirking like an idiot at the corner of my eye. Creepy.

"Hey, I've been looking for you" I tell him, and the girl by his side let out giggles. What is with her? Not to be mean or anything but... ah whatever.

"Ya missed me?" He teased. He's still holding the bag of food we ordered, so I'm guessing he really did wait for me, and didn't go back to the car.

"Nope" I popped the P. And once again the girl laughed.

"Is she your girlfriend?" And she speaks! That's really cliché of her to ask, considering I've heard that line so many times in TV shows. Does it really seem like we're dating? Because last time I check we're just close.

"What do you think?" Calum asked. In a soft tone.

"Yes. You guys would look good together" She smiled and nodded multiple times.

"Yeah, I guess we do" Calum said, and the term 'blushing' would be an understatement if you saw my cheeks burning red like a tomato when Calum said that. This is ridiculous.
