Okay, so Kpop.

I really don't understand the whole rave about it. I'm not judging anyone who spends their free time listening to their music, buying albums and vinyls or merch but I cannot subscribe to that lifestyle.

I've just spent a minute listening to BTS 'Idol' and it's really fun and hyper but I don't really see the appeal. Personally, I just cannot listen to a whole song in another language. I feel super confused and left out cause I don't understand what's going on and when you search for the lyrics in English it just takes away from the whole vibe cause it is absolutely different when translated.

there are a lot of people who have really invested everything into these bands. Crying at the mention of some of these boys' names and have even explored deeper and found girl groups. They really are supporting the community and I love that. We should be more open-minded about other cultures etc. And I'm sure it didn't stop at just the music but people might have started learning about Korea and its language because of this.

It just isn't my thing tho. the guys are really cute but the language barrier takes away from a lot. You listen to music to vibe and you fall in love with it because you can relate to lyrics or the beat is cool but I feel like there is not much you can do when all you can bop to is the beat. In my opinion, it will lose interest real fast.

It reminds me of trap, where its cool though the lyrics make no sense and the beat is the best thing. It usually is the talk right now but after a while it dies down leaving only the REAL fanbase behind and that's how I think its gonna go. People who were only listening to it because of the hype are already finding the next 'sick beat' to listen to and fangirl about. Just up to time for the other fakes to be sieved out.

That's just my opinion tho. Leave yours in the comment section.
