Our lunch break was over as we headed back outdoors to meet up with the leading ladies to BestBuy. I was tired from eating, standing and walking around but all of this needed to be done today. Instead of driving, Sienna drove us to where they were and she parked in the back.
I stepped out of the vehicle, feeling the heat on my skin and placed my shades on to block the sun from blinding me. Summer season had a lot of things going on, and we were slowly starting the next month.
I followed the rest of the girls inside of BestBuy, as we looked around for them until we noticed Ms. Erika standing next to the FlatScreen TV, and looked to be speaking with a worker. While we headed towards her, Raquel pulled my arm and pointed at a lap top.
"What could possibly be the big grand prize? She asked me with a confused expression on her face.
"I'm not sure, it depends on how much the prize is." I told her. "But we could look at the lap top to see how much it cost."
She nodded, as I turned my head seeing Jacqueline, Sienna, Tatiana, and Bianca talking to Ms. Erika then looked away moving towards the lap tops.
There was some nice lap tops, but I wasn't sure how this would help us in gaining our goal of ten thousand.
"Let's say we get a Dell Inspiron 15.1, which costs six hundred, thirty nine dollars and ninety nine cents, would that be considered a big prize for people and add in a iPhoneX plus gift cards?" Raquel inched forward to the lap top.
"I'm not sure because I think with cellphones you can't buy it full price, it might be a plan but if I were to get it full price, all of that together would be one thousand, seven hundred and forty eight dollars."
"But the tickets would be twenty five per person, then Eugene's artwork would be sold out, then the gift baskets that we've never made yet could cost," Raquel continued. "And we can't forget about the GoFundMe account, so I think that's enough."
"We're still going to be twenty seven dollars short in getting everything." I said, because the check was now one thousand, seven hundred and twenty one cents.
"I'm sure we all have that to add." Raquel replied.
"Okay." I laughed at her. "Well let's go tell Ms. Erika what you've came up with."
We walked over to Ms. Erika and the girls while the guys were still not here yet, probably goofing around as usual.
"Hey darlings!" Ms. Erika greeted us.
"Hey Ms. Erika," I smiled at her.
"Hey, I have an idea that we could do but we still would have to add in our own bucks though, we'll be twenty seven cents short." Raquel explained her idea to her.
"Not bad, we've been raising a lot from our GoFundMe account, will it reach ten thousand? I'm not exactly sure." Ms. Esther responded to Raquel's idea.
