We finished eating and it was soon getting time for Lamont to take his medicine and as promised, I had to watch him take the pills. Most times he would pretend he took it and we'll see how affected he is without it. I went to the Lamont's room, and knocked on the door.

He opened the door with a frown on his face. "I don't know why ma' still making you watch me take these lil' shits, this doesn't even help me anyway."

I felt bad for my brother knowing he hated to take the pills but it was for his own good, for his safety. The pills were supposedly made to help his behavior, and anger issues. I don't know if it worked or not but it seemed kind of calming for him.

"Sorry bro!" I told him.

He gulped down the pills with a few sips of water, and let out a deep breath before topping back his water bottle.

"Imma' tell mom you took it."

"Why you still in my room?" He asked, pointing to the door. "I took the pills already."

I held my hands up in surrender, giving him a small smile and left his room to call our mom.

She picked up on the third ring, and answered with a soft tone. "Dee, how are you?"

"I'm good ma'," I told her before rubbing my face. "Lamont took his medicine, you sure the pills is working? I feel bad for him."

"Yes, the doctors prescribed the best pills for him." She sighed softly. "I just wish he didn't hold in the pain or guilt because it definitely wasn't his fault and I thinks that's what he's so angry for."

I nodded, thinking that had to be the exact reason. "Well, I'll keep looking after him and making him take it."

"Okay, take care of yourself! I love you both!" She stated. "Have a great summer my babies!"

"I love you too, kiss Layla for me." I waited until she hung the phone before placing it on to the charger.

I wish I knew how to help my brother, but the hurt he's feeling cannot he healed. He could try to move on but that pain will forever be in his heart, no matter the support and love from family and friends.

I went into my bathroom, let out my leak, flushed the toilet and washed my hands right afterwards before I felt the need to start stretching.

Push-ups, sit-ups and jumping jacks was the short workout I was doing until I said a few prayers before heading to sleep.

It was a brand new day today and it was time for early morning run. I finished taking care of my morning wood, and decided to wait until after the run to hop into the shower. I grabbed my water bottle from the mini fridge to bring it with me, and headed out of the door to the track. It was a little cool outside so I was glad that I picked today to go for a run.
